No reason why he should help out the Raiders. Screw them. Carr and the Saints can get what they want without having to trade.

Carr did what any of us in his shoes would do. Good for him.

And IF he comes to us, I HOPE he's willing to take the Brady approach and accept a team-friendly contract in order to build a winning roster.

I don't know. Going 7-10 with your backup QB all season and missing 3/5th of your starting offensive line for most of the season isn't that bad. Disappointing, for sure, but not surprising.

If will be interesting to see what Plan B is for the Saints if DCarr opts to take his talents elsewhere. Injury-prone JimmyG? 2.8QBR Sam Darnold

? 2Glove Teddy B? Jacoby "ham and cheese" Brissette?

And just say no to Baker Mayfield. He's not gonna work either.

IMO if the Carr deals goes south, just roll with what you have, destroy your 2023 draft & load up on younger NFL talent.

The Saints have a lot of older players. Youth movement.

The NFL is a young man's game

If we don't get Carr and the franchise refuses to give Jameis Winston another opportunity, I'd prefer to just roll with Taysom at QB. Shane Steichen would have been the perfect head coach to bring in for him...but we stuck with Allen.

I'm just concerned that Taysom wouldn't last the season the way he plays. If we don't get Carr I hope to hell they give Winston a shot again. He's as good or better than any other option out there right now other than Carr.
