Tennessee

He has good speed & his tape suggests he can run away from defenders (see Bama game). Looks like a guy who can stretch the field.

Negatives - slim (170) build, questionable hands, and limited on his route tree.

In time, he could become a legitimate WR2.
Comparison - DeSean Jackson Day 2 grades throughout.

Those are terrible negatives! Sounds like Devery Henderson before he adapted to the difficulties of the NFL.

Some kids can be coached up to become quality NFL starters.

See DJ Moore, Cooper Kupp, Stephon Diggs, or Hunter Renfrow.

Man every time I look at a mock draft or do a mock sim, I wish that we had an extra pick between 29 and 40, like around the 35 areaso wed have 29,35,and 40. Lots of good talent still on the board in that area

There is a strong chance, IMHO, that we see a trade down for additional picks. My mocks are not necessarily indicative, but one would hope to be able to interpolate/interpret that based on how they program the algorithms of the mocks. At the end of the day, the team needs to have willing trade partners to make that happen. We'll see in the not too distant future.

I'm expecting them too remain true to their philosophy and target individuals that they definitely want. Once again, I don't expect them to be moving back for those targets, but rather to be moving up. The people doing these mocks, including fans, are in love with quantity of picks rather than quality which both Loomis and Harley have repeatedly emphasized is not their philosophy at all. I just can't see them suddenly changing their way of doing business after all of these years.

I'm really itching to create a poll.:smokin:
Will the Saints trade their first two picks to a team to have a pick in the 15-20 range in round one?
Will they trade out of the first round to have three picks in the second round?
Will they trade all of their picks to the Redskins and take a coveted player in early part of round one?

Brodric Martin

DL
Western Kentucky

"Space eater" (one Reese's Pieces shy of 340 lbs), good upper body strength. The best "fit" is a 0-1 technique. Has held his own against double teams.

Negatives - slow off the ball, no quick twitch will limit his ability to bull rush.

Late round (6-7) flyer.

If his stock is truly "dropping", it's because some may be concerned about the storied list of failed OSU QBs who have been unsuccessful in translating their game to the next level :smokin:.

The NFL is hard.

CJ Stroud is the best QB in this draft and I dont think its close.

It isn't the same type of test at all. The Wonderlic is a problem solving test with multiple choice answers. The S2 is a physical and mental response test using game type controls from what I have read. It supposedly measures response times and accuracy.

What is S2 in the NFL? Explaining Bryce Young, other QB scores for 2023 draft cognition test

From link above:

S2 began testing in 2015 and, unlike the now-passe Wonderlic, does not measure general intelligence. It instead determines the speed at which players can process split-second information, and how fast they can act on it.

The Athletic reports the S2 evaluation takes 40 to 45 minutes to complete and consists of nine different tests, all of which measure varying aspects of processing speed. Per S2's site, five of the mental "instincts" it tests for include:

Perception Speed
Visual Search Efficiency
Trajectory Prediction
Impulse Control
Improvisation

Reportedly it doesn't identify when an athlete will be successful, but it can identify when there is a high likelihood they won't be a success based upon historic results. They said anything below a score of 80% for a QB is a red flag. Stroud scored a shockingly low 18%. I believe Bryce Young scored a 98%.

Trust the tape :bng:

IMO Justin Fields is a good Qb with a high NFL ceiling. Chicago needs to upgrade their O line and get him a difference-maker @ WR.

The tools and football IQ is there.

I still think Hooker was the best college QB last year. If he goes to the right team I think he will be a beast (best/breast 😜)

The man had 11,053 yards of total offense, completing 632-of-944 passes (66.9 percent) for 8,974 yards and 80 touchdowns with 12 interceptions. Plus 25 rushing TDs. Thats pretty amazing.

Amazing since he didn't do as well at his previous stop.

Maybe LSU's Daniels will follow the same fate for next year.
