Last year I loved Anthony Richardson. This past season his stock fell in my mind. Right now, he’s trending back up with me.

And he just ran a 4.4 😁

He doesn't have it in between the ears like Hooker does . And the NFL ain't a five second league .

What that size and speed he can create the 5 seconds he may or may not need to get the ball off lol. He’s a raw prospect, but I’d be so intrigued. Once again, I just don’t believe in our coaching staff to develop a kid like that. The coach the Eagles loss? Oh yeah…

He also just broke the combine QB records for the vertical jump and broad jump.

His legs are in Mensa, however.

I don't tend to watch College ball that much but I've been watching some highlights Vs lowlights on the players mentioned in this thread to try and get an understanding of the players.

Richardson, honestly reminds me of 33 interception Jameis Winston. His passes are ill advised and off target.

Not to mention never breaking a 60% completion percentage in a season. He might be a great athlete, but I don't think he'll be a successful QB.

Major reason why I was down on him coming into the draft. His potential is just so crazy. I wouldn’t count the kid out.

At the end of the day, NFL combines are mostly
confirmation for some GMs/scouts.

Trust the tape.

Crazy athlete. He needed to stay one more year in college. If he would have done that he probably would have had a Cam Newton like year. He’s just really, really raw. He’s gonna go in the first but he needs to go in the late 2nd early 3rd and be developed in a system tailored to what he does. He could be utilized in his rookie season in a Taysom Hill style package. Keep an eye on Denver snatching him up.

Grab another WR in the draft.

MT, Landry and/or both could be gone.

Olave, Shaheed and then we have question marks.

I saw on the list of extensive interviews that the saints met with five WRs, so it looks like they’re thinking the same

Important note for the draft geeks ... The Carr signing will not affect the compensatory calculations next Spring.

So you're saying we're picking another(Olave) WR in round #1 of the draft :p ?

Former LSU WR Trey Palmer? If so, what round?

Trey has speed but I don't see much pop as a potential #3 or 4 at the next level.

Late round flyer (4-6) at best.

Hoping we are spending our top two picks at DL, OL, or RB. I really think we should look at DT's.

Let's see if folks still mock Hendon Hooker to the Saints now that Derek Carr is under contract. I'm torn because we need to give Carr weapons but we still need to look to the future.

Hopefully Carr is as impactful as we hope and he's around for eight years or more. I'm sure that has to be the plan. We do need a backup so taking a QB at some point does make sense. Hopefully they never have to play a meaningful snap for the Saints, however.

Zach Harrison - DE

Rd 4-5 prospect

I've changed my mind here. I kind of fell in love with Hooker but QB isn't a top priority. The Saints have to fill positions of need through the draft and free agency.

That said, the Saints should get the player that grades out the highest when drafting so if Hooker or another good looking QB is the best option then by all means, draft him.

Thanks to everyone for posting clips of players they like in the draft. This is my chance to get a feel for what's available each year. Knowledge is power.

Repeat post (#152) on a player but...

Nolan Smith - DE
Georgia

He probably won't be there at 29, however, I'd take him. Power, athletic & has leadership traits in college. The heartbeat of the locker room.

ZERO character concerns.

He sounds like the type of player the Saints target who become leaders on the field as well as impact players. I like it!

Jahmyr Gibbs - RB
Alabama

WalterFootball latest "mock" have him going to the Saints but I wouldn't take a RB in the 1st round.

So what you’re saying is we should wait till he drops to the second round then trade next years first to move up to get him?

I wouldn't draft one in the 1st at all. rb.'s are deep this season. 3rd and 4th. I just wish we had 2 3rd round picks this season. I would grab 2 rb's in the 3rd and be done. I actually wouldn't mind Fornette on the cheap as a 3rd back, he still has gas in the tank. Kamara would be expendable.

^^ Agreed Halloween65.

Look @ how the Chiefs did it with rookie & 7th-rounder Pachecho.

But then again, they have Mahomes, Reid, and other elite positional players.

Keion White - DE

Georgia Tech

Davenport could get paid (FA) elsewhere, Cam J will be 34 at the start of camp, and Payton Turner is still a huge question mark after 2 seasons.

I was being facetious but I would move a player first. However, I'm not sure that we have the depth to move a player though.
