The Saints did not have a single defensive touchdown this year, a ball-hawking safety like Bucannon or Reynolds would bode well.

Very good read on Kerr, good find. I would take a chance with a late pick, I like your FS pick also but I really like Buccanon a little better.

Another Alabama safety? No thanks, I'm already sick of people over-reacting to every completion thrown within 50 feet of Harper and blaming it on him.:p

The same thing will happen with Clinton-Dix.

Mr Dix has NFL ball hawking ability written all over him. If the kid can play, I will be the first to want him on my team... regardless of where he went to school.

At this point, I'm more concerned about his knee & if he is completely healthy. For all of the Bama haters, keep a 'lazy eye' on him against OU in the Sugar Bowl. Impressive player & groomed by Saban.

yep just imagine how that one move would solidify the pocket for drew. scary.

odds are they will lose him. the browns do not break the bank on players.

but were do we come up with the 10 million he is likely to get on the market.

once again it would be selling a championship ship run for a few years to him. can you say the one move that could lead to dynasty? yep i think that would push the saints into an elite statues. fingers crossed on a rookie OT and add in another OT or two in the draft then we might have this issue on the OL solved till drew retires.

Sign Mack and Streif

draft
Zack Martin, G/OT, Notre Dame
Morgan Moses, ROT/OG Virginia

Two OT than can play either side
Both have the athleticism to slide inside to OG if needed

ok time to wake up and smell the roses

He may want to return to the west coast. the niners have an opening at center. now that would suck

how about a sign and trade for mack? swap our first for their second and pick up the R3 and swap R4. mack may go for it as a parting gift to the browns and they at least get something in return, but that leaves cap issue. who can we send to the browns to open up cap space?

Roman Harper ? ok i am still dreaming here

if the saints did pull a move and signed Grahm you know some team favs would have to moved to the dislike of most fans

gotta get their second this year and their third

either way the other team needs to include their second if we are to trade out of one. we need the picks now not next year.

Draft talk is meaningless before free-agency. Loomis always adresses weaknesses via free agency before the draft, which enables us to select BPA at all but a couple of positions.

I wonder if Ryan has identified a few Cowboy FA's that wanna play here next year?

Considering our current cap and need situation, it seems pretty obvious will be parting with Will Smith, Vilma, and possibly Harper, and maybe even Lance Moore or Pierre Thomas; THEN, we have to sign Graham; this, and we're currently 16mil over the cap...

So, Draft Talk is definitely part of the equation...

But you're right in that we've usually signed NEEDS so as not to show our hand during the draft...

Anthony Spencer perhaps?

Just because their defense sucked doesn't mean they have no talent.

We had the crappiest defense in the NFL in 2012 with Jordan, Hicks, Bunkley, Greer, Hawthorne, and Lofton on the roster.

And there may even be a few offensive free-agents that might like to jump that sinking ship.

Just a thought.

He just signed last week because he knows their system. He donated his entire salary (1 game) to charity.

Class act.

Hatcher didn't do well in Rob's system, just this year he has done well. I'll pass because he will be asking for big money.

Yep, just did some research and he's spouting the money line like Nicks did.

And I read he's a much better fit in a 4-3 than a 3-4. And yes I know we ran more 4 man fronts this year than 3 man fronts but I think when we get some more 3-4 LB's in here we'll see more true 3 man fronts.

Spencer, Ware, Jay Ratliff and Sean Lee haven't been healthy all season long. Not to make excuses for the Cows but you have that many key guys out, it's hard to compete each week at this level.

Is he really trying to land a huge payday? I know he is coming off an 11 sack season, but this is the first year he's really put up #s like that.

I agree, with our CAP situation, it probably would not be best pursue him if he really is trying to ask for big money. If he was searching around for a salary like the one he has now though, yeah, I would snatch him up very quick.

My Wish List for the Saints (Potential FA Loss)...

R1 OT Tiny Richardson, Tennessee, 6-6/325 (Charles Brown/Zach Strief)

R2 DB Deonne Bucannon, Washington State, 6-1/215 (Malcolm Jenkins)

R3 LB Jeremiah Attaochu, Georgia Tech, 6-3/242 (Parys Haralson)

R4 C Tyler Larsen, Utah State, 6-4/310 (Brian De La Puente)

R5 RB Rajion Neal, Tennessee, 5-11/210 (RB Depth, Youth, Comp)

R6 WR Jeff Janis, Saginaw Valley State, 6-3/218 (WR Depth, Youth, Comp)

I was with you till you said all world TE.... People forget how much of a work in progress Graham still is because of the number's he putting up. This WR vs TE is bull the media is using drive Jimmy's asking price up. Mikey is smart if he keeps Jimmy's head on straight. If your not gonna Franchise him you give him Gronk's deal plus a few dollars more and be done with it... Plus if your unsatisfied with Watson's play( which im not) there are gonna be some backup Tight end steals in FA which won't cost you much... Jermichael Finley for example....

As for everything else.... Yes OLB does stand out... We need one. A rangy ball-hawking Free Safety as well... I think if we take the same approach we did last season and hit with another free agent CB...( Talib, Grimes ) Take a free safety from this draft this D can be something special.... not just a comeback story!!!

i have watched more than once this year being stuck on the east coast in acc land. i just do not get the kid. talent is there but he just leaves me disappointed in every game. he is inconsistent big time. lazy untapped potential

sell me on him

for some reason i can see SP getting another toy early

just can see this pick all day long from him.

He's really a 34 OLB Rush LB like another Georgia Tech guy we drafted for the same defense named Pat Swilling...

In the 34, many opposing coaches remarked that he was "unblockable"; the GT staff changed with a new 43 alignment and so he was inconsistent with the adjustments to the new scheme...

The (common) big knock on the kid per a couple of scouting sites is that he's passionate to a fault which can get himself in situations where he out of position or has p/o the officials (personally, we could use some fire on this squad, but it does need to be tempered)...

We need guys that are sudden, just wicked fast and as strong; located some footage and posted here for you...

Georgia Tech?s Jeremiah Attaochu and Why His Versatility Will Appeal to 3-4 and 4-3 Defenses

Anyways, it's either him or ILB Chris Borland, Wisconsin; but Attaboy has more upside...
