Re: 2015 draft??
Heard rumours Atlanta might take Gurley.
He is a great prospect but i hope they do take him |
Re: 2015 draft??
SJB expectation? none zip nada So all SJB can do is be a pleasant surprise or yet again an after thought like a old fart lost in a cushion just waiting to emerge some where down the line and stink up the joint. |
Re: 2015 draft??
If it doesn't click in preseason id look at moving him to safety or back to WR.

OT Rob Havenstein, Wisconsin
I'd love this pick, when was the last time the Saints drafted an offensive lineman from Wisconsin? That's what them boys up there are born and breed to do. |
Re: 2015 draft??
I've been curious to see who Mike Triplett picks for us in the ESPN NFL Nation mock draft since he nailed it last year saying we'd trade up for Brandin Cooks. Mike's picks this year: Bud Dupree and Malcolm Brown. I could live with that.

DeVante Parker and Todd Gurley both on the board at 13 with Dolphins sure to pick one of them would mean the Texans and the Chargers should be calling to trade ahead of Miami. Brown as a 34 NT? he must have been thinking 34 DE. |

Particulars: 6-foot-4, 311 pounds Buzz: Williams is big, physical and active. The then-junior had 74 tackles last season to go with 5.5 sacks and 12 tackles for loss; he also blocked five kicks in the 2012 season, one of which occurred against Wisconsin. Williams is a former high school wrestler who does a good job with leverage considering his height. This NT is the pick I want with one of our 5ths. |

With all of the big name hype of Fowler, Beasley, Shelton, Ray, Williams etc...Malcolm "twinkle toes" Brown could be there in the late teens. Big kid but moves extremely well. For what it's worth, he started in every game at UT the past two seasons. 3 more days and all of the speculation will be over :p ! |

Fantastic draft jeanpierre! This cracked me up though:
Pick No. 031 (R1, 31) CB Marcus Peters, Washington; Height: 6' 0"; Weight: 320 lbs. (Via Seattle) *2 Damn he got fat! Lol |
Re: 2015 draft??
Loads of talk that the Dolphins want Gurley at 14. A team like the Cowboys may well need to get on the phone to Loomis. With two of the top pass rushers falling fast with drug flags moving back to 27 doesn't sound bad to me. You could then seriously looking at one of them or Peters/DBG there or 31.
The Cowboys would need to offer picks 1 (27), 2 (28), 3 (27) on the pick value charts. Could be a team changing draft. |
Re: 2015 draft??
DraftTek mock pretty interesting
Trae Waynes CB Malcom Brown DT Carl Davis DE/DT Lorenzo Mauldin DE/OLB Arie Kouandijo OG Blake Bell TE Dezmin Lewis WR Shane Cardin QB Karlos Williams RB |
Re: 2015 draft??
Quote:
Malcom Brown DT Carl Davis DE/DT that would add some serious beef to the rotation. Malcom Brown should read 34DE/43DT |

that put the texans chargers cards and cowboys all as possible trade down partners. actually the saints might make out really nice trade back in baby steps and get some picks in the back pocket for 2016 and still land some nice talent and or vets out of the move. Phili and the lions might be involved also. 13 is turning into a solid area of the draft after all. the next 5 teams look to possible make a run on the other top talent in the draft |
Re: 2015 draft??
my greatest fear
1. TB Jameis Winston 2. TEN Marcus Mariota 3. JAC Dante Fowler 4. OAK Leonard Williams 5. WAS Vic Beasley 6. NYJ Amari Cooper 7. CHI Kevin White 8. ATL Brandon Scherff 9. NYG La’El Collins 10. STL DeVante Parker 11. MIN Trae Waynes 12. CLE Danny Shelton 13. NO now what? Andrus Peat - best LOT pospect? Ereck Flowers - tons of upside at 13 scares ma a bit too much Todd Gurley - If the knee checks out and we can afford to bring him along slowly maybe. Alvin Dupree - not completely sold on his hype at 13 Arik Armstead - motor issues? or the problem children? Marcus Peters Shane Ray Randy Gregory here is the draft were trade down looks very good if not the OT and RB lead my boards at this point Andrus Peat Ereck Flowers Todd Gurley |
Re: 2015 draft??
If i touch one of tbe red flags its Peters. Some issues but unless im mistaken no drugs. He may well have grown up and is the best CB in the draft according to the scouts.

Re: 2015 draft??
Quote:
You had to click thousand times to get actual info. Now there is on FB page. Police are seeking to question LSU offensive lineman La'el Collins following the shooting death of a pregnant woman last week, Baton Rouge police Lt. Jonny Dunnam told ESPN. Brittany Mills, 29, is believed by police to be a former girlfriend of Collins. Police said Collins is not currently a suspect in the shooting, only that they want to talk to him to see if he can assist with the information. Collins' attorney, Jim Boren, told police his client is in Chicago, getting ready for the NFL draft. But Boren said he has been in constant contact with the lead detective on the case, he spoke with the district attorney today, and he even has retained the services of a private investigative firm to help him prove that Collins was not close to Mills' home when she was murdered. "We took the investigation seriously," Boren said from his offices Tuesday. "We've tried to rule him out as a suspect. We're going to provide that information to the police, and ultimately (Collins) will sit down and talk to them. But the timing is poor." Collins is projected as a first-round pick in Thursday's draft. Sources said a handful of teams have become aware of the incident and would like to know if police determine that Collins is the father of the infant who was delivered after Mills' death. The baby still receiving medical treatment. Police told the Baton Rouge Advocate newspaper that in investigators believe, from a preliminary investigation, that Mills opened her door to someone who wanted to use her car and was shot multiple times after she refused. Neighbors said they heard two gunshots about 10:30 p.m. Friday. They said the door to Mills' apartment was ajar when police arrived. |

Re: 2015 draft??
We've got to move up in this draft...
Tampa Bay and Tennessee have got to take quarterbacks... Tampa looks married to Jamesis Winston... Tennessee can't afford to not take Marcus Marriota and have Zach Mettenberger flop - they'd be out by the end of the season... The best player in the draft is Leonard Williams, but Jacksonville needs an edge rusher and cornerback as they've already got a good defense; but they'll take Leonard Williams if they're smart... Oakland is next and needs a big "x" wide receiver, but this is a deep draft for "x" wideouts and there will definitely be one at No. 13... So Oakland is our target team to draft and move up to get Williams if he fell or Vic Beasley who is an ideal fit... I'd trade pick no. 13 and a future first rounder, not any of our current 2015 picks and less there were a back end exchange... If we stand pat at 13 and Scherff is gone, then we've got to move back into the beginning of the second round and accumulate picks... I'd accumulate 2016 first round picks and 2015 second round picks (as New England did when we moved back into the first to get Ingram)... This draft has a disproportionate number of second and third round pics to the rest of the draft... |
Re: 2015 draft??
I think a trade scenario will happen ... not necessarily in the 1st rd but I do believe it will happen.
|
Re: 2015 draft??
as players dope their way down the board pick 13 is less and lass of value. and to move up is costing more and more. there is no talent in round one i would over pay for really. And I mean really overpay for. top 10 knows how bad this draft is screwed in round 1 now and they will want a fortune despite the talent
pick 13 for sale for any first in 2016. hell houston can have 13 and 31 for 33 and a first in 2016 in my book right now. fire sale. wrong draft to have 2 first in. |
Re: 2015 draft??
What do you have now
Winston Mariota Beasley Williams Fowler White Cooper Parker Scherff Thats about it before you look at Waynes Dupree Shelton Brown Gurley Gordon That Tampa win is looking bad now as it took us out of tier 1. Id have taken any of them. |
Re: 2015 draft??
Im really hoping Dallas or the Cardinals call to jump Miami.
Either 2015 1 + 2 and possibly another or 2015 2+3 or 4 and 2016 1. Id love to move back I risk Collins/Peters and DGB late in the first with the write contract meaning off field issues and guaranteed money is void. |
Re: 2015 draft??
that or the Texans and baby step out of the mess at 13
13. Saints to Texans 16 swapping 78 for 51, 82 they draft the top RB then we would be sitting good at 16 now enter Dallas or the Cardinals to jump the Chargers at 17 for the next RB on the board? or lets revisit that Eagles idea Phili gets 13 and 31 - saints get key Tenn pick 33 - key is pick 33. get that and be willing to spread it out. 31 to 33 is not that big of a deal in this draft. conditional 1st in 2016 swap 78 for 52 conditional 2nd in 2017 and swapping 154 for 113 that's for spreading it out to 2017 2nd 33 44 52 3rd 75 4th 113 5th 148 6th 187 7th 230 conditional 1st in 2016 and 2nd in 2017 phili 13 20 31 to tenn 2 2600 1150 850 600 plus whatever they need to do to get pick 33. Fletcher Cox and/or Mychal Kendricks should do it Tenn gets the ammo to trade right back up Philli spreads the pain out and gets the player they want without losing picks to the saints in 2015 plus this is a very cap friendly draft. guarantee this would make round 1 fun for many teams. 2016 we are sitting pretty good with 2 first. once again this has turned into the wrong draft to have 2 1st in. to many JR stayed in school this year |
