More now than ever since Short's game has reached the next level. Carolina built a defense to stop the saints before the pass happy rule changes even came into effect. Star Lotulelei, 6024 311 5.41 now at 320 we got slow lumbering beef to bad they do not demand DBL teams. Both DT need to be upgraded IMO right now. We do not have Kawann Short, 6027 299 5.08 now 315 The knock on Short was leg strength. Think that is a mute issue now A'Shawn Robinson 6032 312 5.18 I see more than a pure run stuffer in him. Right now I agree his game is mostly all about power. But Like Short he needs work on developing his pass rush repertoire. But the first-step quickness and fluidity are there. I am expecting to see him to raise a few eye brows and be a bit more versatile than the media scouting reports have him pegged at. I think there is more to this kid than Nick Saban's system ha shown us. Beauty show requirements. Give me a (shorts numbers) 10 yard split under 1.80 (1.75) 20 Shuttle under 4.75 (4.65) 3 cone drill under 7.7 (7.55) Broard jump greater than 8-6 (8-4) Vertical over 30 (27) And i say it is a mute issue. A'Shawn Robinson should be able to handle these numbers. Billings i see why people like him but for me it will be all about the interview and football IQ. I see a lot of him in D.J. Reader who sat out a year. Robinson I see it coming down to him showing he has more athletic ability than we think. Even if he does not he would be an upgrade to what we have now. As would Austin Johnson Penn St. and my favorite tease of the draft Chris Jones Miss St could be the shocker. At 12 I am still stuck on Connor Cook myself. SP and Drew guiding this kid looks like a marriage made in heaven. |
