I personally wouldn't mind seeing a 2 back set or a 3 headed monster.

Re: I'd like to try and get Derek Carr
I originally wanted Derek Carr for the Saints. However, I just don't think we can afford him. I know we can afford him, but I'm talking about the future cap hits that we roll back which prevent us from building the team even further. I would rather invest that money in the team in a position other than quarterback. But that won't happen because the front office is all about win now and pay whatever the cost later.

I say, if we trade them a 5th or 4th rounder, we could do worse. We instantly are the favorites in the NFC South. And yes, we should still draft Hendon Hooker and/or another QB late. if we don't trade for him, his price tag as a FA is higher salary wise. So we ride him for the next two years and we groom Hooker to take over on a rookie contract. | |

Re: I'd like to try and get Derek Carr
Yes, the cap is going to skyrocket but I would rather not spend that money on a veteran who will give us two or three years maybe, but is already past his prime. I would rather draft a young quarterback and put these resources into building a better team for him to succeed. I understand that any quarterback that is available will need time to develop behind a stop Gap veteran.
