I've got a nasty little head cold, so it's Jambalaya soup and ham sandwich for lunch. For dinner it's going to be sausage omelet and pancakes.

I can't imagine sitting at a Coscto foodcourt.
It's become a Thursday night thing. Get off work, take kids all over the place, grab a Costco pizza and head home. Tonight's ride around town just had more... energy.

Starting cooking for my party tomorrow. Made a rue and have trinity simmering for a gumbo. Got a mushroom and onion sauce going I’m gonna pour over meatballs in a slow cooker. Later gonna start a pot of warm queso dip and my wife is going to make chicken enchiladas. Gonna have a rum cake and a chocolate sheet cake for sweets (gonna do those tomorrow). That concludes all the cooking I will do. The rest is chips/veggies/salsas etc.

I'm not the cook that a lot of y'all are. However, I would still like to sit down to dinner at your house. Tonight I'm baking seasoned rubbed pork chops, broccoli and cheese, and red roasted taters. Nothing fancy, but I only cook for myself normally.

I grilled burgers last night. It's a little difficult without sunlight so I wear a headlamp when grilling. I have to hold my breath for a few seconds when I need to get a good look at the meat on the grill otherwise it's all lung exhaust.
I love a good burger with lettuce, tomatoes, onion... I even put some dill pickles on them.

Yeah, the pickles are not an option on my burgers. They have to be there. The acidity helps balance the richness of the meat and cheese.

Growing up I didn't like the taste of swiss cheese, sauerkraut, corned beef, or rye bread. Now the Reuben sandwich is the most incredible sandwich ever created.

I’m making a venison chili for the game tomorrow. My friend gave the recipe after I tasted his. I’ve never made it before myself, so this is my first try. I had to look around for a butcher that had deer meat since I don’t hunt out here. We’ll see how it turns out.

T bones were on sale at the market. Got a nice inch-thicker I’m going to throw on the grill after the game (that way i’ll have something to look forward to if the game goes poorly.

Looks like we'll be missing out on traditional Thanksgiving again this year. We're going to Nashville and will be watching my son perform at FGL House and Jason Aldean's on Thursday and maybe Miranda Lambert's Casa Rosa on Friday before going to the Grand 'Ol Opry with him Friday night. The second year in a row we've missed Thanksgiving food.

Looks like I'm going to South America for Thanksgiving, so I made a mini turkey dinner for the rams game Sunday. Stuffed turkey wings, collard greens, and eggplant casserole. It was so yummy!

I tried to beat the sunset yesterday by grilling at 3:00. Too late... But the grilled chicken was great regardless.

I'm so domesticated, I even baked sourdough bread.
