Fun fact: Treylon Burks is a bonafide good ol’ boy who actually hunts wild hogs with just a knife.

So, he brings a knife to a boar fight....

Come on fellas. Make a request. It sounds like a great story.

This doesn't sound like this is going to be the draft to look for a future franchise QB.

Albert Breer has run draft misinformation for certain teams for years...

DT Siaki Ika from Baylor is an imposing nose tackle. Oklahoma State had to run away from him for most of the game, including the game-winning goalline stand. Sounds like he transferred to Baylor from LSU; surprised the Tigers let him get away and maybe you guys know more about that. Don't know if he's going into the draft this year or next, but he is one to put on the board.

Looks like Alabama WR John Metchie very likely tore his ACL today against Georgia.

Watching some of Pitt QB Kenny Pickett now against Wake Forest and he’s definitely the most pro-ready QB this year.

Kenny Pickett is my QB1 in the draft, which means he won't be there when we pick or Sean will read this and spite me (just kidding on last part)...

Apu saw a lot of time as a freshman during LSU's Championship run; LSU switched defensive fronts and he was no longer a fit (sound familiar)...

So he rejoined fmr LSU coaches Baylor HC Dave Aranda and Baylor DL Coach Dennis Johnson, and, safe to say, his career got back on track...

How good was Dan Marino? Kenny Pickett just broke his record even though it took nearly forty (40) years!

I’d have to agree. There is a lot to like there. The only concern I would have is the rumored 8 1/4” hands.

Which round is he projected to be drafted?

No faith in Ian Book ... long term?

That Notre Dame v Bama film - ouch...

And this is a pro-Ian Book edit...

Ian Book vs Alabama 2021 (CFP Semifinal - Rose Bowl Game) - YouTube

He fared a lot better vs Bama than Georgia's QB did today!

I may have to watch some Pickett ... haven't seen him play and this Iowa/Michigan bout doesn't seem like it will be close.

Edit: From what I have seen, the hype around Pickett seems legit. Kid is resourceful, seems like a pretty intelligent passer.

Jameson Williams ...

Probably not on our radar as a draft prospect but he's electric as hell. He has serious speed and big play ability.

I think he's a legit Day 1 starter at the next level.

Concerns for Jameson Williams is his slight frame adapting to the physicality of the NFL as he's rarely faced legit future NFL corners and when he has, he's disappeared...

Also, he'll need to improve the discipline in his game as he rounds the cuts in his routes and he drops balls outside of his frame a tad too much...

He'll probably go in the first round, but I'd not take him till the back of Rd 2 at the earliest...

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting

All I know is that the Saints scouts are in the clock with doing their due diligence at WR position in the 2022 draft.

It won’t matter who the QB is unless we find guys who can separate & run routes. Outside of Harris, I see nothing.

There will be difference makers available in Free Agency as well.

Valid points however Jameson wins in ways similar to Cooks (BC is smaller than Jameson) did at Oregon St but he's done it against SEC opponents. Line him up with Thomas/Harris/Callaway & let's go.

Side note - it would really suck to see this kid end up on a team such as Atlanta who have WR "needs" as well. Omit Ridley & the Falcons are in a similar position as the Saints. No true #2.

Coach him up!

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting

DL Devonte Wyatt, Georgia

Mid rounds (3-5)

K Major 12-05-2021 09:25 AM

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting

Trey McBride TE - CSU.

Skill set similar to Greg Olsen.

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting

Clemson WR Justyn Ross

Field Awareness, vice-grip hands & a deep threat. He missed the 2020 season due to surgery and could hurt his stock. Could end up as the 3rd or 4th WR taken off the board.

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting

Kayvon Thibodeaux DE - Oregon

He's a explosive player & very strong. I like his swim move technique as well. I thought I've put DE in the mix because can we really count on Davenport & Turner for 15+ games? Honest question.

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting

WR Jameson Williams vs Cincinnati’s CB Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner (potential CB1) will be amazing.

What did ABC legend Keith Jackson call em back in the day ? ... "big uglies !" Quinn is a Round 3 mauler.

IMO Ruiz was a reach in the 1st round.

Ruiz also played center don't know how much that matters

We've got a bad habit of drafting players and playing them out of position; some offensive linemen just can't make that adjustment...

For the draft capital spent on Peat and Ruiz, moving them to an alternate position was too big a risk...

I think 99.9% of us can agree that the Saints need ...

OL, WR & possibly QB.

Chris Olave - "Thee" Ohio State WR

Day 1 starter at the next level ... has a knack for getting open & moving the chains.
