-Try to sign Harris to a cheap deal. Don't overpay. Lovethe skills. His size and decision making concerns me.

If you honestly watched every snap Ed Reed, Troy Polamalu, or Steve Atwater played you'd likely see a couple, or more, egregious missed tackles apiece.

WR in the first rd.

Go interior o line mid rounds.

Saints need better back ups on that offensive line though.

There seems to be a shortage of quality offensive line talent these days. Especially those that remain healthy. Here's a link to the top 25 rated OT's coming into 2021 (PFF). It looks like an IR list. Five of the top seven missed considerable time.

DAVID BAKHTIARI, GREEN BAY PACKERS. ...
RYAN RAMCZYK, NEW ORLEANS SAINTS. ...
TERRON ARMSTEAD, NEW ORLEANS SAINTS. ...
RONNIE STANLEY, BALTIMORE RAVENS. ...
GARETT BOLLES, DENVER BRONCOS.

Kenny Pickett actually falls there in the first round? You bet your sweet arse...

The real question is will Coach move up or down. We all know he's going to deal picks...

So, in that case would you be willing to "cut bait" with Book or keep both as project QB's? We'd still need a veteran capable of starting since we can still "win now" with our current nucleus.

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting

No more drafting project QBs. We have too many other need that we have to fill through the draft. Book should have been a 6th-7th Rd pick.

No QB before 6th rd. I don’t think there is a starting QB in this year’s draft.

I wish we could keep Armstead but it is what it is…some team is going to drop a bag on him. I don’t know what the contingency plan is but Ramz needs to stay at RT. I think he is better suited for RT than LT.

We just signed Bortles to a futures contract but I doubt that he's got much of a future in New Orleans.

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting

Bortles will be a good camp “arm” and get you through OTA’s and training camp.

I don’t expect the Saints to resign Trevor S.

Once again thats your OPINION on what took place those are your FEELINGS you are absolutely entitled to it. I just dont know enough about the situation to have such a strong opinion on a mans professionalism and character. The setback caused him not to play this year whether or not that could have been avoided with surgery we will never know but others will say otherwise. Im not butt hurt over it Saints seemingly dont see it as a big deal at the moment....you should want MT healthy and ready to go thats it...he only makes the team better...Once hes back making plays your tone will change

I'll be curious to see how far Jameson & his teammate John Metchie fall in the draft. Both 1st round prospects, both torn ACL injuries against Georgia.

Unfortunate.

The good news is that both are young, so hopefully, they'll recover 100%.

I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if a team like the Chiefs or Titans take Jameson Williams at the end of the first round.

Sure it’s my opinion and yours doesn’t match mine. It’s also your opinion that the front office isn’t “butt hurt” about how he screwed them. There doesn’t seem to be any disagreement that he did not maintain contact with the team and his late surgery timing hit the team out of the blue. But one thing that is not an opinion is that nothing Thomas does from here on out is going to change my view that he was selfish and backstabbed the team THIS SEASON. I’ll feel that way no matter if he sets more receiving records and leads the Saints to a SB victory NEXT season. That’s a tune I won’t change.

You know, I don't remember what Keyshawn said word for word - one of those sports debate shows - not Skip and Shannon...anyway I saw him explaining things from MTs perspective, and I can remember thinking, "well, ya know, he's kinda got a point there...."

So who knows? Not me. Coach says they're cool.

I just think that we're a whole lot better with MT. I think at least a couple WRs I have been so hard on might suck a lot less with a real playmaker like MT on the field.

And what about over-using Kamara or is that just me?

And our o-line? I know that ain't just me.

I'm already excited about the draft though. We may be about to move on from some people who have big shoes to fill. Key moves on both sides of the ball.

Would be fun to watch Kyler Murry win a SB.

Agreed.

Side note - I was all wrong on Kyler. Used to watch him here while in High School (Allen) win 3 consecutive 6A Texas State titles but all I would come away with saying is “boy he’s tiny & too small for the SEC/NFL”.

Can’t measure heart and desire.

It will probably be next year or the year after, but Deuce Vaughn from Kansas State is basically the next Darren Sproles and we should have him on the board.

Kenyon Green - OL TX A&M

He’s versatile and a bully. Last olineman we drafted from Aggieland turned out all right 😉.

Every football player and person is selfish think if money wasnt invovled they would play for your entertainment? but the more selfish people here might be the fans ...MT was your guy and it hurt your feeling or at least your perspective on him....was he selfish when he went out there and played on an already injured foot to help Drew Brees and the Team win? One might actually say that attempt made an already injured ankle worse. But you hold on to that

Seeing Burks going as the No. 1 WR; the fact that Jameson Williams had to transfer to get playing time is being scrutinized...
