Interesting QB prospect. I could see a team like the Lions selecting him.

Lewis Cine, S, Georgia

This young man was very impressive during the championship game against Bama. Great tackler. I wouldn't mind giving him a look with our uncertainty at safety.

Its one thing to re-post every damn tweet ever tweeted (speedo). It's another to actually have an opinion (everyone not named speedo).

It literally does mean nothing. But, I took it as Tomlin liking what he saw.

So then why flood the board with it? A little speedo feeding his oversized ego...

I’m not a big fan of WalterFootball.com but this morning they had this tidbit in their Senior Bowl rumors:

https://walterfootball.com/nflhotpre...mors-Wednesday

In speaking to sources, offensive tackle is a position that New Orleans could target in the 2022 NFL Draft if Terron Armstead leaves this offseason. With the 18th-overall pick in the first round, the Saints could have some good tackle options available, like N.C. State's Ikem Ekonwu, Mississippi State's Charles Cross, Northern Iowa's Trevor Penning and Tulsa's Tyler Smith. Saints sources say they really like the skill set and upside, with Ekonwu and Smith in particular.

Tyler Smith would be such a Saints pick. Not saying that’s a bad thing, just that I could totally see us picking him. We’ll see what happens with Terron Armstead.

Bernhard Raimann Left Tackle Highlights - YouTube

Plays too high, tends to flip his hips when he shouldn't. Most "good" plays are merely due to him being bigger than his opponent.

I looked a little extra on the switch as you suggested, telling example of shoddy footwork.

https://blackandgold.com/attachment....1&d=1643916357

Starting drop back is decent but he plays quite high and has a base that is narrower than it could be.

https://blackandgold.com/attachment....1&d=1643916357

When the DE attacks he commits a grave error by dropping his inside foot. This opens up the inside completely for the rusher.

https://blackandgold.com/attachment....1&d=1643916357

Here you can see the DE's foot further to the inside than the LT's which means that essentially he is beat.

Now in this clip the DE doesn't finish the job and the LT can use his size advantage. An NFL DE in that situation will take his lunch money and just crush the QB.

Im quite surprised a play like that makes it on to a highlight video.

Technique is Coachable, his speed/size/recovery is undeniable; see what you're saying about his dropping his foot, but he's already begun making the handoff/switch as he reads stunt...

The quick exchange he makes in the LSU game is not something you see in a typical college linemen, it's very quick, NFL quick...

Bernhard looks like a legit Day 2 selection.

If he has a lights out Pro Day, subsequent combine he could get a serious look at the tail end of Round 1.

Believe that's the right-on assessment; that's why wouldn't mind seeing the Saints move back if there's a QB they like that's likely gone before they pick...

We picked up Ramczyk at the end of Round 1, perfect slot to take a right tackle who looks to have an elite ceiling, but can start right away for us...

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting

I haven’t heard any indication that the Saints plan on moving Ramczyk to left tackle. All I’ve heard is that if we don’t retain Armstead, we’ll be looking at LT’s with our first round pick.

JP has pointed out on several occasions that Ramczyk has incentives in his contract that are based on snaps and/or performance at the left tackle position. I wouldn't be surprised if those that have the opinions you mentioned are somewhat "underinformed" if you get what I mean. :D

With CSP now “retired”, I honestly have no idea what position this team will draft in the 1st round.

Gotta admit I had no idea who they were gonna draft when Payton WAS head coach.

Assuming we don’t re-sign Armstead, here’s a 3-rounder:

Interesting to note that WR Kawaan Baker caught our eye last year while scouting Jalen Tolbert.

Don't be surprised if we pick first round in the trenches again K. It has been the go to draft pick for the linemen which we covet. Yes, Peat and Ruiz don't deserve the spots where they were picked. Possibly even Payton Turner, who may take as long to develop as Davenport who is finally playing very good ball when he's available.

I was hoping for Brandon Aiyuk (WR) but we chose Ruiz in the first (many scouts claimed was a reach in the first rd).

You can always select quality O lineman in the mid-rounds. Two years later, the Ruiz pick still is a head-scratcher for me Rugs.

Looking at the last 2 weeks of the NFL playoffs ... every team has quality WR's #1-3 on the depth chart. Legitimate WR's.

Let's not ignore the WR position in the 2022 NFL draft :bng:.
