Great speed but a lot of scouts see him as a special teams workhorse that you will need to "develop" at WR.

Projections - 4th/5th round by many.

Looks like he was at Southern Cal for 4 years before transferring to Tennessee where he played for two more years. I believe the 2020 season didn't count against eligibility. He must have got a redshirt back in 2016, his first year at USC.

Keep it coming fellas. Thanks for sharing. I love the draft process where I learn about players. Even if we don't draft them if I see the players in the future then I'll know them better. It's a win/win.

Possibly.

Wes Welker, Julian Edelman, D Baldwin come to mind.

Holy crap. I saw some blurbs of him moving up draft boards but dang, I didn't realize he's that much older than everyone else. I would have thought he went on a Mormon mission. I mean... at least he's physically developed.

I'm hanging my hat on Sam Howell as our first round pick.

Probably one of the better fits to the Saints offense; he'd be the first big-man RB with those skills comparable to Deuce...

Jahan Dotson - WR Penn State

Above avg ROUTE RUNNER. Hands as big as Mike T.
BLOCKS (the best from this draft class) as well as Jamar Chase.

I’d love this pick @ 18.

Again, I’d argue WR is the Saints biggest need in 2022.

Gotta fix the offensive line if you're going to give the QB / RB ability to make plays...

We've got big problems at guard...

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting

Draft another center? Hey, if he should fall, it'd be tough to pass up; it'd allow McCoy to move to RG and with McCoy's ability to run, Eric could be an All-Pro...

Naw JP,

Dougie Marrone is in the building now to get that O line steered in the right direction. This is year #3 for RUIZ. Needs to perform up to his draft status or get replaced. You can find big uglies in the mid-rounds as well as in Free Agency.

Jamarr Chase, DeVonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle (10/92 & a TD vs Saints in 2021), Kadarius Toney (6/78 yards vs Saints in 2021) & Rashad Bateman (had more yards than our Trequan Smith in 2021). << All former 1st rounders with IMPACT & were Day 1 starters last season.

MT is a question (ankle) mark & we don't know what he will do after a year layoff. AK is gonna sit for at least 6 games, maybe even more. TE position is SPOTTY. We need PLAYMAKERS.

I'm pushing all of my chips to the center of the table & going WR @ #18.

Just throwing it out there if it happens...

With regards to WR, historically, we've had better return on Day 2 WRs than in the first round...

I'll leave it here ... it's absolutely MIND BOGGLING that outside of the 3rd round TREQUAN SMITH  pick back in 2018, the WR position has been neglected the past 5 drafts.

You'd be hard pressed to find any team in the NFL that has only drafted 1 WR in the early rounds of straight 5 years of drafts.

With MT out all season in 2021, the WR position finally caught up with us.

Drew Brees was just that good I guess.

Interesting. Saints trade up more than anyone and never trade down.

What's most interesting is the chasm between two franchises that have remained playoff caliber for so long - Pats and Saints.

Bill's teams have been more successful obviously with Brady at the helm but in a very weak division.

Bill has made what appears to be 24 trades up and 14 trades down. 38 total. Loomis 15 trades up and zero down. Big difference in the trading down philosophy.

And don't forget BB also trades good players for draft pick, we don't, huge difference. And also when BB trades up he has ammunition in his back pocket, where we don't, huge difference also. No comparison in the way BB does things compared to Loomy, none at all.

Also, one issue, hurdle Saints have that most teams don't is getting players to come to New Orleans - there's not as much upscale options for them to spend their coin...
