I wonder what Shaheed's numbers would like over a similar time stamp.

At 18.2 yards per reception his yards per route would have to be better than Tyreek Hill's league leading 3.33 you would imagine. I haven't found a site with his route counts yet to calculate.

I think getting better on the interior DL and a rangy FS (like what Marcus Williams was) should be top priorities of the D. Getting better on the O line and a RB are the concerns for the O. I do think Winston will be back next season. I'd also like to see a QB for the future on the roster as well.

D Line needs a speed rusher to compliment Cam. Not enough pressure on the QB's with Davenport IMO. Hard to find a big bodied NT disrupter coming out of college though.

Like I’ve said before we need to trade Thomas and his restructured contract clears the way for a trade! No way we pay that roster bonus!

Since Allen is staying we need a new offensive coordinator and draft a franchise QB.

We need to find out if the Offensive Coordinator for the Lions has a twin brother. The creativity to have St Brown lateral the ball ... that quick snap on 4th and 1 pass to catch the Packers off guard ... that is the kind of savvy we need here.

QB of the future
RB
OG (cannot continue with Peat)
DT what happened to Onyemata
DE Davenport, OUT
S of the future

After the Carolina game I'm adding:

OC - Carmichael NOT the man. Go spend money on the position Gayle.
K - Is Lutz no longer worth the money??
WR - with MT all but gone, there's a big hole to fill

Trades:
Demario Davis - does Kaden make Davis expendable?

Re: Official 2023 OFFSEASON Thread

Had a thought.

Nathaniel Hackett. Could he be our next OC?

From what I gather he was brought to Denver to land Rodgers. When contract talks broke down, the front office pivoted to Wilson and made crazy concessions for the new QB even to the point his personal coaches were involved in game planning. WOW

Hackett is better than his record in Denver.

Was OC in Green Bay, leading to 2 MVP seasons for Aaron Rodgers.

He also has a history with Doug Marrone (Syracuse, Buffalo, Jacksonville). Marrone did fire Hackett in Jacksonville...

The more I think about it, the more it could make sense.

I don't know if Kaden is the answer but trading Davis would get us a good pick. I hate the thought of trading Davis but under Allen I would pull the trigger. I would trade Kamara also. I have no confidence with Allen as a HC and if we're not going to be contenders then maybe Ireland can work his magic for whoever replaces Allen has a good young core in place for the 2024 season.

I sure hope that the front office is busy pouring over resumes and getting recommendations on which coaches we need to interview. Apparently, we're going to have quite a few interviews this off season. Out with the old and in with the new!

Gotta get rid of Heckle and Jeckle first :p

Otherwise expect the same results in 2023.

On the other hand, division rivals can interview both of our defensive coordinators if we don't risk alienating them by blocking the interview, and then they can hire away whichever one they like, and we get the leftovers. Then we either have to promote that leftover to full DC even though we didn't have the confidence to do it before, or watch them walk away after being passed over. Compare this to a plan where we just pick our favorite, name them DC, they can't interview for an DC positions with other teams, and the other guy remains an assistant and won't have to be demoted if we don't want to promote him when the other leaves.

That jives with what Jim Trotter had said. Staley isn't going anywhere, but there would likely be a shake-up with the staff.

The only way I'm trading Payton to Houston is if they give up that no 2 pick so we can get Bryce Young. A 12th pick isn't enough for me. Houston wants their cake and to eat it too.

No way they do that. Realistically their #12 along with an assortment of other picks is the best we could expect. Arizona isn't letting their #3 go either, so every other 1st available will be either later in 2023 or a 2024 1st.

Firing Staley would be a colossal mistake IMO. He is a good coach. Yes they just had an epic collapse. It can happen to the best of them though.

The Chargers have terrible ownership & they (Spanos) are cheap.

Staley reminds me of Dennis Allen.

Yes I know. I wouldn't let him go to Houston. That's my point. That has dynasty potential written all over it. Payton with Bryce Young would be scary as hell. They would be able to assimilate talent around him so quickly.

injuries absolutely factor into the equation. Just not the entire equation!
