Sink or swim, Dennis Allen is setting sail with his own supporting cast. He’s brought in coaches he rocks with and gotten his top choice at quarterback in signing Derek Carr. There’s no excuse if he loses double-digit games again in 2023. The Saints are on top of an admittedly weak division, and nobody is confusing them for Super Bowl contenders — and that’s fine. After missing the postseason in back-to-back years, they’ve just got to worry about qualifying for the playoffs before they start dreaming of Super Bowl aspirations.

There's no excuse for double digit games again other than an inordinate amount of injuries. Here's to good health and finishing stronger than one and done in the playoffs.

Not much scares me in that roster.

Maybe we can get back to Dome field advantage and winning games at home now.

These general sports shows seem to constantly come up short on accurate NFL Knowledge.

Saints sign free agent safety, S Ugo Amadi.

A physical safety at 5'9" and 201-Lbs., Amadi had nine career interceptions in college. He'll attempt to crack a New Orleans safety position that includes Tyrann Mathieu and Marcus Maye but also has safeties P.J. Williams, J.T. Gray, and Daniel Sorensen headed to free agency.

Bring in multiple guys to compete @ WR. Either FA and/or the draft.

Callaway and Trequan are suspect as your #3,4 guys & seem to disappear 2nd half of games.

I'd like the Saints to go after a DT in Free Agency.

Notable name - Malcolm Brown

Javon Hargrave - DT

I keep beating a dead horse @ def tackle but we need to get meaner in those trenches.

Hargrave is a free agent.

If we drafted Jaxon Smith-Njigba to pair with Olave, I wouldn't be mad at it.

He’ll most likely be gone by our pick, but I wouldn’t be mad at Quentin Johnston either. 6’ 4”, 215, 4.4-40 time. Add another 10 lbs of muscle and you got a monster on your hands

So what you're saying is that we should trade up and snatch him before he's gone but if Quentin falls in our laps, take him because he could possibly have the skill set of Alshon Jefferey :p ?

How about Foster Moreau? TE.

I know we JJ (RFA) but competition is a good thing and Foster/Carr have chemistry from their playing days together in LV.

What about Darnellle Washington from Georgia at pick 40?

Yes please.

I did a player eval in the "Mock" draft post and featured Darnelle. That's another player I like a lot. Big (complete mismatch), soft hands & block well. Only knock on him I have is his average speed.

He checks a lot of boxes though.

IMO he could go late 1st round.

Yeah, I doubt he’ll last to our second round pick.

That's just how the new compensation works for lost minority staff. Pretty clear cut and dry there. Not as subjective as player compensation which factors in all kinds of stuff. That helped them at least partially.

His blocking alone could vastly improve our run game.

If I was Jameis I would not trust the front office after the "miscommunication" with Dennis Allen regarding his starting position after his injury. Don't get me wrong. The Saints made a business decision last year and now it's his turn. Fool me once shame on me......

Jameis was never fully recovered during the season. Besides, it doesn't matter what any player believes a coach "promises" them, their job is to do what the coach says. If a coach tells you to sit to backup up another player, that what you do.

Great news! He was huge in the red zone for us. I really like him and still see a lot of room for improvement for him.
