2016 NFL Draft Prospect Thread ...............

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Connor Cook in the 1st round would be a bigger waste of a first rounder than Sullivan or Erxleben, wasn't expressed with him at all this season or during their *** kicking by Alabama...

I agree to an extent but I am holding out on shoulder injury which is my number one concern. When you look at his game the kid has guts. maybe too much. he trust his WR which for the number of dropped passes is rather remarkable in itself.

Love the small things in his game that puts him light years ahead of ant QB drafted in a long time. Example: Varing his drop back speed no matter if it is a 3,5 or 7 step drop to allow routes to develop is one of the hardest thing for a QB to master. He has so many small things down pat it amazes me. That makes his coaching so much easier. QB take 3 to 5 years to just to get to the point they are doing it naturally. Almost all the basic fundamentals are there. Cook had some excellent coaching through out his career. high school thru college.

I believe sitting and studying behind Drew and the coaching of SP for a few years would be a solid move for him and the saints.

If the saints can trade back and still get the kid and picks I would be happy. If the media is right and he falls into the second I will be amazed and even more ecstatic if the saints grabbed him there.

He and Derek Carr are a lot alike. Except Cook is further long in his development by at least 3 to 5 years.
