This is why I would trade Jordan, Vaccarro and Bush to get those much needed picks, although I would try Bush at SS first to see if he could make his case to stay. Funny thing is Payton might give Allen some gifts since he's one of the good ole' boys in the likes of Reed and Butler in the 1st and 2nd round. To be honest it wouldn't be a bad move to get those 2, it would make Jenkins expendable.

So you'd trade Cam,our only pass rusher and take on another 6ml in dead money?

It would be nearly a stupid as giving Galette his contract

Or about as stupid as me wanting Graham traded? Jordans containment stinks setting up screens all day long, he's not as well rounded as many people think. Over playing plays are just as bad as not getting to the qb. which he does alot more times than he gets sacks. He's not worth the contract he recieved at all.

Only way we trade Cam is a sign and trade whereby the first year numbers would be reduced to minimize the Saints cap hit...

Here's my take on Cam; he needs to get back to being a more well-rounded defensive end - setting the edge - and set up faster players like Kikaha and others to make the sacks...

I'd have no problems keeping Cam and paying him at that cap number if he would be more unselfish in that regard, because the results for the team would be more positive...

But that's also going to take alot of trust in the coaches and their schemes - which I still find very suspect, questionable at this time; especially when you look at how the rookie play seem to be minimized down the stretch and Allen's history...

For quicker results on the field, we'd have to rework a few contracts (i.e. Brees, Jordan, Byrd) get some add'l cap room and go after NT Damon Harrison and DE Malick Jackson, proven veterans that this coaching staff historically has preferred...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: 2016 NFL Draft Prospect Thread ...............

next cap cut?

Thomas Morstead
year cap dead
2016 $4,450,000 $1,200,000
2017 $4,000,000 $250,000
2018 $4,150,000

Replacement? UDFA?
Peter Mortll P Minnesota 6012 192 4.94

I like this kid, he understand the importance of hang time and coverage. But more than anything I like the fact he is old school and is one of the best coffin corner kickers I have seen in years. He is unreal when kicking 50 to 60 yards out. Inside the twenty is always talked about when you start talking good kickers. This kid? You measure his day with kicks inside the ten as a kicker. Hits the coffin corner old school style. he aims for it

best directional punter to come out of college in years IMO

why is he over looked? got me

Re: 2016 NFL Draft Prospect Thread ...............

I just hope whoever we draft at number 1 will be able to step right in and start. I am tired of these players they have to "Bring along slowly". I still dont like the Peat signing. And if we sign another 2nd rounder with a huge upside that never winds up seeing the field I am going to scream. I say pick whoever is left at our spot who can step right in, unless its a kicker.
