Re: 2017 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
Man, what's with signing these short lifers with injuries?!? WTH is doing the physicals?!? A one-eyed, peg-legged crack head could pass a physical with the Saints right now...

State 6031 273 4.86 #9 Sr My Top Hype Watch offense Derrius Guice RB LSU 5106 222 4.45 #5 Jr If he pans out on the hype is a perfect fit for the offense. Adds a few more years to Drews playing time. Watch him pass blocking and picking up blitzes. the offering of cap flexibility is a drum i am really tired of beating. defense Vita Vea DT Washington 6041 332 5.19 #50 rJr If he lives up to the hype this year players like this do not come around every year. He is in the running for my FREAK stamp of approval Malik Jefferson SLB/MLB/WLB Texas* 6015 238 4.57 #46 Jr Nothing so far does not scream FREAK to me here. he has to be dumber than a door nail not be on a short list. I still have not heard an argument of Lattimore over OJ Howard that changes my mind. Howard is the freak pick we will regret not making a first round pick. Especially when we have to pay Coby Fleener $8mill in 2018 and $9mill in 2019 because we have no one better to replace him with. cap drum again But Latt is a saint so he has 4 years to prove that tendon can hold up. My BPA approach history. Some crow and some i told you so 4 years and watching 2016 -LT/RG Laremy Tunsil Ole Miss 2015 - WR DeVante Parker Louiville (so far the biggest crow sandwich) 2014 - SS Deone Bucannon Washington St 2013 - LB Alec Ogletree Georgia Answered already. 2012 - LB Nick Perry USC 2011 - DE Cameron Jordan California 2010 - CB Patrick Robinson FSU 2009 - LB Brian Cushing USC 2008 - LB Keith Rivers USC 2007 - G Ben Grubbs Auburn 2006 - OT D'Brickashaw Ferguson Virginia |

It looks like the Saints want to keep him for next year. He could have either had an injury coming in and they hoped it would heal or he sustained one in camp. |

Re: 2017 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
In a way. They came up with that status to keep a team from stashing players that are not truly injured on the IR. If a player is vested (has played a certain number of games) you CAN place them directly on IR. You can't do the same with non-vested players. Thus the "waived with injury designation" used. Now any other team, if they truly think the player isn't injured can claim him. But then THEY can't place him on IR until they also do the "waived with injury designation" move.

Re: 2017 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
Guice will end up in Cleveland . But it's good to see another young cat with high expectations come out of my high school (Catholic High). We've had a nice run with RB's that have excelled at the next level (Warrick Dunn & Travis Minor).
