Iowa’s Nate Stanley scored the highest at 40.

This is the only LB of interest for me in the 1st round. It will be intriguing to see where Isiah lands on next week.

It's quite possible a stud will fall to us at pick #24.

I would be higher on Lamb and Higgins. Wonderlic score or not. I don't care if he's high or low as long as the guy does his job and does it well. Plenty of players on active rosters didn't do well on it.

Yep. So sick of the Queen/Murray talk @ 24. Both of those guys have too many ???. No need to reach with the other talent that will be there.

Damn, Drew Brees and Peyton Manning only had 28s...

Brady had a 33, Mahomes had a 24, and Peyton's Baby Bro Eli had a 39...

Marcus Williams had a 34, so there's that; Marshon Lattimore had a 23...

Yeah, well I'm not impressed with Murray pulling a hamstring running a 40 - like McKayla not impressed level of not impressed...

In fact, I would rather they run 1/10th of a second more than pull a hammy on a simple 40 drill...

Don't won't a pure-breed LBer that needs pristine conditions to perform - Want a dawg, a mutt that no matter the conditions, they're available when you say ball...

I mean, is this going to be a theme with the hamstring till he finally acclimates and has a great game?

No, I'm not crazy about all the talk of taking a LBer in the first when Malik Harrison, Logan Wilson, Cam Brown could be had between the 3rd and 4th round...

I’ll throw in DE AJ Epenesa as well.

Here's the thing with Baun, if we were building a 3-4, wouldn't think twice about taking him in the first round...

But I'm not taking him as a DE as he lacks the size to set the edge on the weakside in a 4-3 and would be a liability as Galette was...

And I'm not wasting that pass rush ability to play him as a SAM LBer who may see half the defensive snaps per game...

I want my first round picks on the field every possible play, snap I can get out of them...

Gladney was very erratic against pro talent, and I think his floor is like that of a Tracy Porter, that's why I'd take him in the second round...

Can see a trade and switch, where we replace Warford with Ruiz, though I like Tyler Badass from Wisconsin or Logan Stenberg from Kentucky more...

Re: 2020 NFL Draft: Saints Prospects

I think Zack Baun can play a Lorenzo Alexander/Kyle Van Noy type of role. In the base defense he’d play Sam LB and in sub-packages he can be a stand-up edge rusher. I think he also has the ability to be an off-ball LB in sub-packages.

What's this mess about a diluted sample at the combine?

Yeah that’s an obstacle that may cause him to drop to the second round. For the record, I don’t think we’ll draft Baun. I’m just intrigued by his versatility. I think the team’s very high on Kaden Elliss at Sam LB.

Baun, mostly. He can flat pin his ears back and eat territory fast going to the passer, much like Pat Swilling did back in the day...

He doesn't have near the functional strength that Rickey Jackson had to hold the Edge though...

Yeah, like Burrow, I was very high on them, then reality set in for me...

Who knows, Payton may trade the Westbank and Acadiana to move up in the draft...

Anfernee Jennings - LB Alabama

Middle rounds, he'll be there. Can get to the QB, defends well against the TE … consistently. Lots of room to grow. Alabama linebackers has a history of transitioning well to the NFL.

I like this kid a lot! He's always around the ball. I think Shaq Quarterman would be another great late round pick.

I like Shaquille too. He's physical.

In a 4-3 defense I could see him on the strong side.

The good thing on Shaq is that you have 4 years of college tape to evaluate. He's played a lot of good college ball at Miami.

One of these kids will be there @ pick# 24. My guess is A.J. But more importantly, do the Saints see him as a "fit"?

I don't see CJ or Jefferson getting past pick 20.

One of these kids will be there @ pick# 24. My guess is A.J. But more importantly, do the Saints see him as a "fit"?

I don't see CJ or Jefferson getting past pick 20.

My gut tells me Payton will be trading up for Jordan Love...

Jefferson might still be there - Philly seems to be the likely target...

Yeah, I just really like CJ Henderson, but more and more, I don't see him getting past Jacksonville who're looking to replace Jalen Ramsey...

If only we'd stay disciplined in our valuations on players in the draft...

Even if Jordan Love has the talent, I don't want any part of a QB in the first round.
