Backlash from Michael Thomas, among others, forces Drew Brees to clarify comments

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I really don’t know how he’s going to get these guys to want to play for him anymore. Maybe he’s just a lame duck and they are using his comments as against him so they can have Winston. Wouldn’t surprise ...

From where I stand, this is a Purge, not a protest because of BS like this below...

Guess, I'm getting too old, but my heart genuinely is hurts - HURTS - for this man tonight...

Apology, like I said, not good enough.
Martellous Bennet is on Don Lemon ....basically calling....nevermind.

What was Brees thinking...DO NOT TALK.

If Brees had said “Death to the USA. Burn the flag.“
Today, he would have been applauded with calls of players and the media wanting him to be the next commissioner..

Up is down. What is right is wrong. Left is right. The times we are in for the rest of this year.

There are good people in this world. Most people are good, the media wants you to fear others and believe we are all evil... don’t.

Over 6100 people donated to his go fund me and they raised over 170k in almost no time.

We are all God’s people.

Well yeah...that generally happens when people begin telling you men can have periods and men can be women and women can be men. Then the government enacts laws supporting these insane ideas. You end up being led to believe qhite people are the problem and not a culture of violence and absence of parenting. Which is why my post says rid my life of qhite liberals and many black Americans. As my son gets older I will tell him if he wants to be successful befriend Asians, stay away from black American men.

What Drew said was not offensive. And before you say "whatever offends a person is offensive to them" - because I'm sure you will - let me offer a little sanity to counter that BS. There is no such thing as "your truth" or "my truth". There is only THE truth. Truth is not a matter of opinion. You don't get to bend reality to match your feelings. The truth is that the American flag represents America, as well as the millions who have fought for it's freedom. If you have a problem with America, the flag is not your enemy. Be that as it may, people get to have stupid opinions. That's part of being free. But only one ethnicity gets to have an opinion? I don't think so. And that is where these players, the media, and the entire left is WRONG.

You know what else is truth? "systemic racism" is a fake narrative. It does not exist. That is not my opinion, it is backed up by statistics. If Drew has to apologize for what he said (he doesn't) which was not directed at anyone, but rather a position he holds out of respect for the country he loves, then Malcolm Jenkins ABSOLUTELY should apologize to Brees for trying to control his ability to take HIS stand.

It matters not whether Jenkins directed his comments at any of us, or just Brees. It's about calling for consistency. And, by the way, if Jenkins hates Brees for what he said, then that means he hates everyone who disagrees with him. Think about that, before you try to straddle the fence with your PC nonsense.
First of all, I am fiscally conservative and trending from moderate toward socially liberal over the past couple of decades.

As for the industries in which I have been involved in my 63 or so years ...

- Inoculated and pollinated corn at a Dekalb research facility
- On a long haul crew with Mayflower Moving
- Drilled holes in Weedeater carburetors on an assembly line
- Photographer/writer - Sports, news, features
- Auto sales - New and used
- Tuxedo rental - Store manager
- Earned a degree in accounting (with a heavy dose of computer science)
- Developed and maintained an information system for a major natural gas corporation
- Worked as both a senior systems and business analyst with a health insurance company associated with a large non-profit hospital system

As for your personal social beliefs, they are yours and there is no changing your mind so it is meaningless to even try.

Oh, throw in ...

- volunteers at church doing upkeep and repairs
- helps with the church food pantry serving the needy locally

They'll play for him because they know and respect him. They have already cleared the air on that. They'll play for him because they are football players and want to win.

Guido, I like you; you know that. And also I consider you an authority, for the most part.

But there are people, for whom the number one most important thing in all universal existence is the color of their skin, and yours. I supersedes everything, including logic, job, duty, and truth.

This cancer will not die, and they will go nowhere. And you know thats hard for me to say.

I wouldnt buy a ticket, merchandise, or watch a game, until these haters apologize to HIM and to US. (and if you know my racial makeup, i dont exactly qualify for the aryans) I mean Americans. It comes before games and sports. I can tell you Media isnt doing well this year... CBS just had massive layoffs. These fools are about to find out who pays the freight.
