Agreed on what we could get for him, but I doubt anyone would pony up a 1st for him as things stand right now. Moving him (a trade, pre or post 6/1) would free up a bit of cap space, $2.3M iirc, but it would be offset by dead money of just over $2M. Pick your poison, lol.

From my perspective, he’s already a sunk cost, let’s keep him..., unless a holy smokes offer happens. Him being on the roster is a much greater benefit than any compensation we would get, imho.

To whom are you referring? Dead money on Armstead via trade would be $20.18 million pre-6/1 and $7.179 million 2021/$13+ million 2022.

I’m not looking forward to us getting smoked by Kyle Pitts in a Falcons uniform for years to come.

Maybe this is where Ceedy Duce plans on making his money.

I’m just praying the Failclowns trade back and somebody else gets Kyle Pitts. We saw what Darren Waller did to us last year.

When taking into account Kris Richard’s prototype at CB, Ifeatu Melifonwu in the 2nd round might be the most perfect match of scheme fit, need and value.

If this is something in the works then it wouldn’t be surprising at all to see the Falcons go Ja’Marr Chase @ 4.

Pro day timing must be taken with a grain of salt.

Thanks XVI.

Cox is mentioned & listed as a LB but can cover like a nickel. In a "pass happy" league, we could certainly use a player with his skill set.

One of the negatives on Cox is that he doesn't always "wrap up". Gotta clean that up but he's a super talented Pro prospect.

The draft is almost here :bng:

That may differ to a minor degree, but anyone that claims to be "hearing" things can't be hearing it from anyone that knows what they are talking about. Unless, of course those three WANT that out there as a smoke screen.

Still hope they can draft a good D Player in first round.

Give me a couple of days and I'll fix his tackling issues! No problem. :biggun:

Was briefly watching some Rugby on BEIN network this past weekend and thought about you RSII.

Those guys are tough as hell.

I agree. SP likes to move. And I think they're gonna try to move up too. We know one thing....he isn't going to trade down for more picks. Never does. Probably never will. Lol.

Ryan Ramczyk is Armstead's replacement, we just have to find a younger, healthier, rookie-contracted Right Tackle...

I'm so pumped for today.

Brees's loss will be felt but it's kinda nice to go into a new season without the same expectation.

I believe this team is still a contender and whether the organization drafts 10 players or 1, I'm sure it's part of the plan to keep us in contention.

Here's to a great weekend in the next chapter Who Dats!

I've been looking forward to the draft just to see who we end up getting. At that point I'll learn more about the players and then wait to see how they turn out in a few years. Maybe a couple will have some immediate impact. We'll see. If they turn the eight picks into five and get the five players they want I'll be happy. They can target others via the UDFA market. It seems they are just as successful as the late rounders anyway.

Only a strong organization and coaching staff can turn as many afterthoughts into solid starters. That's one reason they deserve more credit than they receive.
