Re: 2010 NFL Draft
good stuff.....still wondering why you put tennessee in the mix tho lol
i guess we are going to pick everson griffen or taylor mays i was looking at players all around ohio tho there arent many OSU players worth looking at this season.....but cincy has 2 guys we may look at not to mention sean payton always looks at kent state......if i was a betting man i would still bet OSU over USC but in the first round there is definitly a higher probability based on the past that we will pick a USC guy even if it is only 2 to 1 |

Re: 2010 NFL Draft
another guy to keep an eye on is geno atkins
very small for an NFL DT at only 6'1" 285 lbs plays a lot like hargrove does.......a pass rush specialist but isnt tall enough to play DE could play 3-tech and help rush the passer but isnt the help we need in rush defense a mid round prospect to keep an eye on |

Re: 2010 NFL Draft
lol but why would you think that payton loves tennessee more than ohio if theres only been 2 picks out of tennessee in 4 years?
of course this is only from 1 source but for all the flaming i take for wanting a talented DT with weight issues im surprised to hear someone want a player with even more of a work ethic issue |

I would be Farmer Fran ecstatic to get a R1 pick for Harper... Only problem is...we get better value with our 4R and 7R picks?!? I think it's just leverage for a trade of Harper... |

If he was truly the weak link we would bait other teams with a reasonable tender, like a 3rd rounder, or even a 2nd rounder. If no one bites we pay him a lot of money for 1 year. You don't bait teams to sign a weak link with a 1st round tender. You typically do that because you want to keep him, or you want to encourage him to sign a long term contract. In my opinion a 2nd round tender would have been best. If another team offers him an appropriate contract, we can match it or get a 2nd rounder in return. The staff wants to keep him, and if they do lose him they're gonna get a 1st rounder for him. |

Haslett's move to get Sullivan reminded me of the adage "It is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." We traded for Sullivan; Cardinals got Calvin Pace and Bryant Johnson...D'oh At #24, Indy took (gasp) Dallas Clark... At #31, Raiders took (crying) Nnamdi Asomugha... So by not trading, we could have had two of the following: Calvin Pace, Bryant Johnson, Dallas Clark, or Nnamdi Asomugha... Further, even with the trade we could have picked one of the following: Jordan Gross, Kevin Williams (Williams DT Brothers fame), Terrell Suggs, Marcus Trufant, Ty Warren, and yes (cutting wrist) Troy Polamalu... and he gave away La'roi Glover... So we got rid of Glover, passed on some amazing talent, and selected Sullivan... Haslett is the gift that keeps giving... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
