To me any team that drafted a QB in round one this year is making a huge mistake. It makes sense to grab a STUD in round one and then get your possible bust QB in the 2nd so it doesn't set you back as much when that QB is out of the league in a couple years. I guess I could see Wientz going in the first, but Goff or anyone else ... NO.

How the top offensive linemen fared on Friday at the NFL combine
(excerpt) Noteworthy: Jason Spriggs (6-6, 301) of Indiana, the No. 6 tackle on CBS' rankings, opened some eyes on Friday. Spriggs ran a 4.94 in the 40, put up 31 bench press reps, had a broad jump of 115 inches, a 3-cone drill time of 7.7 seconds, and a 20-yard shuttle time of 4.44. Spriggs was listed as the top offensive line standout of the day by Pro Football Focus. Know everyone is hung up on Left Guard right now; remember though, Carl Nicks was a offensive tackle and did all right as a left guard... Could see taking another Hoosier in the second round (Tracy Porter - 2008) |

Re: 2016 NFL Draft Prospect Thread ...............
There were some very good hand, smooth route run and able to track the ball well by some WR's yesterday. 3 or 4 looked as good as Treadwell. A few TE's looked good also. There were 2 qb.'s that looked good. I'm finally getting good looks at a few players I think might take the O to a higher level it is now.

End of Combine Mock Draft...
If Treadwell is there at No. 12, you gotta take him over remaining defensive linemen who'd be a reach with Jarran Reed being the exception... R1, S12 (Pick 12) WR Laquon Treadwell, Mississippi; Height: 6' 2"; Weight: 210 lbs. R2, S16 (Pick 47) DB Xavien Howard, Baylor; Height: 6’ 1”, Weight: 200 lbs. R3, S15 (Pick 78) TE Tyler Higbee, Western Kentucky; : 6' 6"; Weight: 249 lbs. R4, S14 (Pick 112*) OG Joe Dahl, Washinton St.; Height: 6’ 4”, Weight: 304 lbs. R5, S13 (Pick 150*) DE Adam Gotsis, Georgia Tech; Height: 6' 5"; Weight: 285 lbs. R6, S12 (Pick 192*) TRADED (This pick with 2015 Sixth Round Pick traded for DB Damian Swann) R7, S16 (Pick 232*) OG Ted Karras, Illinois; Height: 6' 4"; Weight: 308 lbs. And it all starts to come together... |
