Not sure about that...
They have pressing needs in the secondary, and then, of course, there's the Romo question... http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-...oulder-surgery |

never damage? crap. The odds of returning any where near 100% is a crap shoot. Round 2?
As if the gods have not been nice to Darron Lee as it is already. Both top LB are hurt his stock sky rockets. Now Smith has worse case possible? Damn the kid must be living right. The gods are on his side. The football gods have a sick sense of humor and could be setting this up for a big laugh when all is said and done. Lee is a solid prospect. Worth a round 1/2 grade without a doubt. Out of desperation for a WLB would take Lee at 12? |

C.J. Prosise RB/WR/KR Notre Dame 6004 220
Hands 8 1/2 Arms 32 1/8 40 4.48 10 1.57 Vertical 35.5 Broad 121.0 Answered the huge question I had about him 40 4.48 but the dam hands issue at 8 1/2 comes up. But I still like the kid. Slot WR learning RB so getting hit was never an issue. Plus a return guy to boot. A mid round option for sure. His pass protection is a work in progress but he is more than willing to stick his hat in there so..fill 2 maybe 3 roster spots with one pick and enough upside at all three to give you a pretty good case of the warm fuzzies. This is the type of player that can clear areas in the secondary for WRs and exploit areas WRs have cleared. He knows how to read and adjust pass routes at the second level probably better than any of the backs in the draft. Screens are a work in progress. That is Ezekiel Elliott and Kenneth Dixons specialty. Like Elliott, you are not going to arm tackle or simply drag him down. Plus was recruited as a safety out of high school. He has to learn not to deliver the blow every time he gets tackled. I think that is the left over mind set of being a safety lol. not a bad trait to have when manged properly. I have seen David Johnson comparisons but I am not going there. David is not the receiver CJ is and CJ is not the runner David is. Think another ND guy, Theo Riddick Lions. Just a bit taller and a good bit faster. I liken him to Pierre Thomas in running style. He has that short and quick jump cut skill set inside the tackles that can not be taught. Quick cutting decisive runner. SP loves chess piece potential and CJ could become Drews 2nd, 3rd, or 4th option on any given play that can burn you. A player teams must account for whenever he is on the field. The saints offense has been missing this kind of effect on defense for a few years now. This would be a mid round selection (3/4) that would see the field early and often. Plus if the Spiller experiment continues to fail, he could be his replacement in 2017. Out with one CJ in with another and save about 2 million in cap space too boot. I think I found my 4th round pick maybe 3rd? Kenyan Drake is still in the mix. 4.44 forty but I like the slot WR skill set and mentality CJ would bring to the position. |

Re: 2016 NFL Draft Prospect Thread ...............
C.J. Prosise jack of all trades, master of none fits so perfect in Payton's offense. Him or Lasco (Cal) seem like the prototype 3rd down back in this draft.
IMO I hope they don't go WR or RB until round 4 |
