Maybe they're just dinged and out a few days??? could it be?

Maybe it's all a strategic trick in preseason

For some reason they stopped giving updates about who's lining up where at LB. I read somewhere that Anzalone is getting most of the first team reps at Will... Has he surpassed Anthony already?

I don't know, but I am really high on Anz if he can stay healthy. He reminds me a lot of Ellerbe. If he is healthy he is going to be a good one for us

From what I understand he has a bone bruise. Maybe the more medically knowledgeable could help but a quick Google search says it's not exactly a minor thing as it can be really painful and take 1-2 months to heal.

I don't think he will either. Even when healthy he had flashes but was never really all that great. I love his story but I just think until now he is just one of the better players in what was a pretty bad position group

Maybe Sean Gives Sharper a call and see what he is up to. I know he played Safety for us, but maybe roll him to corner and let him be a player coach.

2 year incentive based contract with a **** ton of it guaranteed

I think he's probably lined up under center as we speak

There are some really nice throws and catches here, but there are also several good plays from the secondary. There are a couple of PBU's where the pass is thrown supposedly only where the receiver could make the catch, but the defenders makes great plays just to knock the ball down.

I get it that "rookies need reps" but why rush em back ? Really no need to take unnecessary risks this early in camp. Especially considering these guys are the future at their respective positions.

No one is advocating that, but he was taking issue with the stupid concept that rookies are being given days off as vets. That is just wishful thinking utter non-sense. They were dinged. He isn't for rushing players backed that are injured. Two different concepts.

Think the beat reporters have reached the same conclusion that we are coming to, the Saints will reveal who's gonna be where in the coming weeks...

But as I said in another post, I suspect with all the cross training for the LBers at all three spots in the base defense, we'll see different guys in their based on matchups, health, and maybe energy level during a game...

Wouldn't be surprised to see them change all three in a game the way Hockey changes a line...

Most offenses key on what a linebacker tells; so, rotating LBers may help us from keeping to show our hand to an opposing offense...

I like that. Linebacker by committee.

It would also help in keeping them fresh being able to go 100% every play.

Part of me likes that idea, the other part of me is concerned about continuity and situational awareness.

That being said, it seems like they naturally do it anyway with all the sub packages.

Long as they clip the dirty bird's wings, I don't care WHAT they decide to do.

I love it when people play poor little me about something bad that happened to them. Especially when it's because they can't come up with a come back for something they started or provoked in the first place.

Whoever the QB of the defense is needs to remain on the field at all times. There is a different sense of the game you have when your on the field the entire game.

So you condone the person that is using the fact of my colon cancer as jab against me? You are as sad as him.

Loser.
