Can Emmanuel Sanders be that dude this season? At time Ginn and Tre simply didn't want it. I forget which game it was where Smith took a shot & had his helmet knocked off ... gotta wonder if he's having second thoughts on battling defenders on those 50/50 opportunities? Alligator arms.

Less finesse and more physicality? Vikings really slapped us around up front.

We definitely sign a veteran No. 2 WR; for me, prefer burner on the outside to stretch the field that way Thomas and Cook can split the field with the intermediate stuff, Kamara carving underneath...

Jalen Reagor is the only WR I'd take on Day 2, even Day 1 as what he brings in talent could be utilized even with a limited repertoire as he adapts to the NFL game...

Really, REALLY, liking Denzel Mims' size, catch radius; can see MT opposite a WR-z burner, TE Cook on early downs, and bring along Mims as an WR-X, letting Thomas move inside on 3rd Downs where he's lethal...

Yep, Brandon Scherff or Joe Thuney, who incidentally was taken by the Patriots with the 3rd round pick we sent them, with a 4th, so we could take Vonn Bell in 2nd round of the 2016 draft...

I'd even sign both and move Warford, who's gotten soft and slow adjusting in space which is problematic in our blocking scheme; in fact I'd sign one of those two to replace Warford, transition from Easton/Clapp to a draft pick...

And I love to take Ben Bredeson in the second round if we went that route; he has the physicality NOW to bully and beat up on NFL vets like those Vikings, and the speed, head on the swivel to smack-down stunting DEs...

Simpson is intriguing, but where was this play before? Is he gonna be the type that turns it on a few days before pay day?

He was interviewed here locally and they asked him what is his #1 Priority at the combine was and he stated .. "to run extremely fast". If he somehow clocks around 4.33 or better ... a team could bite on his speed alone Day 1.

In some ways, I see him as a KC CHIEF Mecole Hardman type player.

EXPLOSIVE.

The Saints met with Paxton Lynch too didn't they?

According to NFL Network, Paxton Lynch, who could potentially go in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, drew the New Orleans Saints to his pro day.

And if you remember, Brandin Cooks came out a force, as a rookie, because he had to run a simple route tree, very, very fast...

Guys like Willie Snead The IV was able to run underneath all day and #dodamage...

All day and every day on Brandon. This guy is an absolute mauler with the mindset to punish the guy in front of him for 4 quarters.

Peat got Brees injured vs the Rams, had a very poor showing vs Atlanta (a lot of sacks) & Vikings wildcard game. 1st rounder in name only.

Andrus can go. Brees needs an above average guard protecting him up the middle.

I really like his burst.

For me its his vision. Never will forget a NFL Films Steve Sabol interview of John Riggins talking about the most valuable asset to a RB is his eyes, his vision; his balance and burst is maximized because of great vision...

Reggie Corbin's Breakout Season | Illinois | Big Ten Football | The Journey - YouTube

I'm sure our fellow B&G poster Rugby Saints will appreciate this kid's journey. Really good Rugby player, outstanding citizen and college player.

Gotta believe every time he pointed to the sky after scoring a TD, mom was pointing right back.

I hope he does well at the next level. Definitely has the mental toughness.

Henry Ruggs III - WR Alabama

Fast guy (if not faster than J Reagor), burst off the line. He's on the "smallish" size, will need to add more bulk. Good catch radius (perfects the diamond technique) solid hands. A lot of Bama WR;s transition to the next level pretty well.

I hope he ends up in the AFC.

Speed talent is there, but does he have the frame to add more muscle?

My issue with Ruggs was that he disappeared in a great many games.

We've got that Houdini in abundance in the WR room not named Michael Thomas...

Almost identical size to Can't Guard Mike ... just slightly faster.

If he has a good Senior Bowl showing ... he'll definitely jump to Day 2.

But to put it in proper perspective, Pat Mahommes virtually sat out all of his rookie (pick #10 of the 1st rd) season. Fast forward 2 years later, Pat has them in the Super Bowl.

if he's your guy, he's your guy.

The great Joe B could fizzle out (and I hope I'm dead wrong) at the next level ... especially considering the franchise that is claiming to take him at 1.

Just a crap shoot taking QB's early in the draft.

Just look at the greatest "can't miss" QB of the past generation, Andrew Luck. How many Super Bowls did he make it to in his career? Zero.

Terrell Lewis - Edge Rusher - Alabama

Davenport has yet to show that he can stay healthy. Saints will need to add another young, quality edge rusher against playoff caliber teams.
Terrell has explosion and moves to set the edge. A formidable, healthy rotation is key.

KJ Hamler - Penn State WR

Speedy WR who ended up his season with 56 receptions/1k. He knows how to separate and runs good routes. Not the most physical guy but in space he's electric. Day 2, 3 guy for the Saints?

C'mon that's weak, Luck was the goods. Fell victim to a meddlesome, drunk owner in Irsay who absolutely failed to put any resemblance of an offensive line around him, comparable to Archie Manning story...

Luck absolutely had some terrific games, as I watched him knock off several Superbowl Contenders leading lesser teams each year like the Steelers and Ravens in the playoffs...

If it were just SuperBowls, using the NFL100 criterion, then Drew Brees should have been left off the list...

Because of his size, Plexico Burress perhaps?

I don't know JP but those UT short horn WR's scare me. They just don't create enough separation & we already have one (Jordan H) on the roster.
