Thomas and Jenkins have both shared in the last hour that they have accepted Brees' apology and are ready to move forward, just as had Davis early.

Jenkins can suck a fat one. He went on a tirade against Drew. He owes Drew an even bigger apology, and it had better be very public. Otherwise he can get ****ed.

It's not for you or any of us to demand how Jenkins should apologize or even if he should apologize to Brees. That is personal between the two of them. It is none of our business, to be honest.

If only players, fans and media also took this rational attitude before demanding public apologies for Brees sharing his opinion. I guess better late than never.

Oh? But it's fine that they demand an apology from him? And it's fine that they demand he agree with them? And it's fine that they took his opinion, which is his business, twisted it and used it to stab him in the back?

Your double standard is showing.

Nope. There is a big difference you are completely missing. Brees said something that offended many people across a wide spectrum. He offered a public apology to the general public for that statement and a private apology to others. What you are claiming Jenkins did was to the individual, Brees. It was not addressed to you, me or any other individual. Therefore, any apology is only applicable to those two individuals.

There is no double standard whatsoever.

What Brees said was very carefully worded, polite and not at all what Jenkins made it out to be. I have every right to demand he apologize for the attempted public assassination of a good man's character through the weaponization of social media. His behavior was uncalled for and inexcusable. I don't care if Drew offended one person or a hundred ****ing million people. He is as entitled to his opinion as these *******s are. And they CHOSE TO BE OFFENDED. So if they can make demands then so the **** can I. But by all means keep preaching Mr. Contrarian. We all know you live to disagree no matter the subject. Just gotta come huffing in here like you're everyone's grandpa here to get in his daily gripe session.

You are a peculiar character. You claim to have been in every industry under the sun. I have no way of knowing the truth to these claims, but it strikes me as questionable. But you also claim to be conservative, while you are sitting there spouting political correctness.

What Drew said was not offensive. And before you say "whatever offends a person is offensive to them" - because I'm sure you will - let me offer a little sanity to counter that BS. There is no such thing as "your truth" or "my truth". There is only THE truth. Truth is not a matter of opinion. You don't get to bend reality to match your feelings. The truth is that the American flag represents America, as well as the millions who have fought for it's freedom. If you have a problem with America, the flag is not your enemy. Be that as it may, people get to have stupid opinions. That's part of being free. But only one ethnicity gets to have an opinion? I don't think so. And that is where these players, the media, and the entire left is WRONG.

You know what else is truth? "systemic racism" is a fake narrative. It does not exist. That is not my opinion, it is backed up by statistics. If Drew has to apologize for what he said (he doesn't) which was not directed at anyone, but rather a position he holds out of respect for the country he loves, then Malcolm Jenkins ABSOLUTELY should apologize to Brees for trying to control his ability to take HIS stand.

It matters not whether Jenkins directed his comments at any of us, or just Brees. It's about calling for consistency. And, by the way, if Jenkins hates Brees for what he said, then that means he hates everyone who disagrees with him. Think about that, before you try to straddle the fence with your PC nonsense.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

First of all, I am fiscally conservative and trending from moderate toward socially liberal over the past couple of decades.

As for the industries in which I have been involved in my 63 or so years ...

- Inoculated and pollinated corn at a Dekalb research facility
- On a long haul crew with Mayflower Moving
- Drilled holes in Weedeater carburetors on an assembly line
- Photographer/writer - Sports, news, features
- Auto sales - New and used
- Tuxedo rental - Store manager
- Earned a degree in accounting (with a heavy dose of computer science)
- Developed and maintained an information system for a major natural gas corporation
- Worked as both a senior systems and business analyst with a health insurance company associated with a large non-profit hospital system

As for your personal social beliefs, they are yours and there is no changing your mind so it is meaningless to even try.

Oh, throw in ...

- volunteers at church doing upkeep and repairs
- helps with the church food pantry serving the needy locally
