Agreed.

Hopefully it ends the "drafting a player and changing their position" trend that Payton used to do too.

Vonn was a fast improving player that I think we didn't give enough of a chance, instead going with a guy we'll get 1 more season out of if we are lucky.

He should be considered...among players to avoid like the plague.

Some here actually thought we wouldn't miss him; while our DEs were great, Trey Hendrickson would've been a difference maker...

And as good as Davenport is, if Sean hadn't been so impatient, just as he was Rob Ninkovich, 2006 R5 pick, we'd been able to use those picks on elite offensive linemen...

Instead of reaching on Ruiz and overpaying Peat...

Sure would love it if we could get back that round 3 pick for Mr. Glass...

Three (3) Free Agent Targets for the 2022 New Orleans Saints:
  1. FS Marcus Williams

  2. WR D.J. Chark, Jr.

  3. RB James Conner

Decent back but has serious durability concerns over the years.

17 games … thats brutal on a RB.

I'd love to see Williams signed to a long term deal, but a second tag should be a real possibility.

That's fair criticism, but he'd be in a committee here...

He's pretty much been in a committee in both Pittsburgh and Arizona. He's had 30%-40% of the carries in both locations. Or hurt so much that his percentage of touches have been that low.

Who carries the rock first 6 games of the season?

I certainly don’t expect to see Kamara for at least a month to start the season.

Possibly longer :(.

What about Darrel Williams, Sony Michel, or Ronald Jones II?

Just two short seasons ago, he had one of the better SB performances for RBs.

Played second fiddle to Clyde H & McKinnon most of 2021.

Yes on Darrel.

MI and FA to be named; likely a Day 2 draft pick in the conversation...

Side note - Terron Armstead to the Dolphins ? .. Four years, $64.5 million ($35 million guaranteed). That'll be great for him if it happens.

Free Agency is just around the corner.

Another 3rd pick, that help add quality roster depth, even a starter...

Used a 3rd to get Mr Glass, will get one back after all this time - good karma...

Mariota hasn't lived up to his draft status. Hasn't had great coaching either.

Not to mention the broken legs, sore quads, torn ACLs over the years.

Marcus is a hard pass for me too.

So there is a small chance we keep Armstead in 2022?

I’d hate to see him go … well respected in the locker room, does LOTS of community service and is a really good LT.

But money talks in Free Agency.

Please, no...Have had enough of Mr Glass' act and I'd like to see the Saints get at least half of this rolled over cap back so we don't have to let a Hendrickson walk again...

Can we put Peat into the "unavailable" category as well??

I believe Duncan or Ross mentioned that he's ended up on IR 3 out of the last 5 seasons . A highly compensated O lineman I might add.

Not a good stat to have.

If I could keep one or the other I keep Armstead. At least he rarely sucks when healthy. Can't say that about Popeyes Pete...
