Speaking of defense, last season the Saints finished as the 8th best team in limiting explosive plays by their opponents since 2012. Does this tie in to the opponents taking fewer chances because of the offensive woes?

Once again, another player that has experienced the total misfortune of injuries to temporarily sidetrack his career. It's hard to not have compassion for these players. Hopefully he'll be able to avoid the Russian Roulette wheel of NFL injuries moving forward.

Isiah Foskey has entered the chat.

Jeff Duncan posted a RAS comparison with Davenport right after the draft. Very similar numbers.

As for Turner, he needs to stay healthy. Hang around Cam, study his workout regimen, get in that weight room with him, share snacks :rolleyes: etc. ANYTHING.

Playing in only 5 games as a rookie, then 8 in his second ain't good enough.

Exactly. I'm more concerned with the offense being able to execute consistently than the defense.

Still feel like we'll add another defensive piece before camp is over.

So we drafted Foskey/Bresee on the D line and acquired Saunders @ DT ...

IMO those will become upgrades over Tuttle & possibly Onyemata (kinda fell off in 2022) .. glad we addressed a need.

The Falcons and Carolina both are run heavy so this was a solid move by Allen and his staff.

He's at the stage of his career where he wants that Lombardi. I bet he'll end up signing with a legitimate contender (Bills, Chiefs, Niners etc).

+1. If you can’t find a guy to start on your team among the top 32 players coming out of college each year then you aren’t drafting correctly.

NFL talking heads had us taking Foster, if my memory recollection serves me right. Can't go wrong with more beef to protect the QB.
