It's the free agency bargain bin for us once again. Thankfully our roster isn't full of holes. Still, its gonna be near impossible to upgrade our weak spots. Hope we have a great draft.

we need to do something at #2 WR

We have options there through FA and draft. WR is a position rookies can produce in day one.

Personally, I'm more concerned with CB, S, LB and OG.

I guess it's OK if Peat stays.
Hope we sign Vonn Bell.
CB will take the most work btwn restructure and/or replacing
LB - Anzalone back but we need a solid OLB opposite. Feel like we go that route at pick 24.

Quinn is going where he want have to work as hard and face double-teams. Do we really want a non-competitor like that on this roster?

Littleton was somewhere like $36mil/3 years. We've already got out big ticket item in DeMario Davis, best rated LBer in the game...

Saints did make a run at Collins, but he wanted to play with his old ball coach; but I'd love to know what he didn't like about playing for Saints...

We have Glasgow already on the roster in Nick Easton; Center/Guard who can get the job done, but not somebody you can gain mismatches...

Is Murray even a Round 1 pick? He's been a good player, but a first round pick?

And out greatest liabilities have been extreme speed at the WRZ, LG, and CB2 the past three seasons, I'd put LBer at around Priority #6 on the Saints personnel needs right now...

I think Murray is a first rounder, but if Jefferson falls I believe Payton is taking him. Malcolm Jenkins was released. We need to pick him up. Bring Janoris back. Find another pass rusher.

Of course he is. Not really his fault that the Big 12/OU has such awful discipline and scheme. He is a sideline to sideline guy, above average instincts & knows how to close.

I'll be surprised if Murray isn't selected before pick #20.

I think we are fine at CB. I’m starting to see Lb as a major hole now that Klein is gone and Anzalones injury history.
I had hope that we would go big at WR 2 in FA but guess they are looking to the draft. I guess I would be ok with Peat but I’m not sure his heart is in it.

Like Queen a lot. Shifty, fluid hips and is a 3 down backer. Liked the fact that he talked, communicated with his guys pre snap. High IQ. IMO he can start from Day 1 at the NFL level.

In saying all of that ... I'd feel a lot better drafting him if Mike Nolan was here as his LB coach :p.

Re: 2020 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints

We need to get resolution to the Vonn Bell situation. If he’s not coming back then I imagine Gardner-Johnson goes full-time SS. If that happens then we essentially only have two CB’s (Lattimore and Jenkins.) We have PRob too but what good is that? We’ll need to make a move on a guy like Chris Harris Jr.

If Vonn comes back, CJGJ stays at nickel and it’s all good.

I say see if Malcolm Jenkins is down for a reunion. He can play the hybrid Nickel/Safety role. Gardener-Johnson can roam free and make plays. I’d like to keep Vonn Bell, but if we can get better then we should do that.

Re: 2020 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints

IF Kiko is healthy, this will solidify our LBers to begin the season, we just need to bring the youngsters along and we'll be solid...

As a guy who loves LBer play, I came to the realization this past season that defense today is like old school football, five down lineman (four with hands in the dirt)...

We only play two true LBers maybe a third of the time now, mostly five-plus defensive backs; if it weren't for kick coverage, we'd probably only keep five (5) LBers...

Bell has been a good player for us and cheap so far. I'm more curious to see how much he wants? Good safety and knows the system has got to be worth a good deal. I think he can be even better than he is now, I pay this cat if I'm the Saints.

I just don't trust guys coming off multiple ACL injuries. We've gambled with Kakaha and Meredith … neither have worked out. Not to mention Kaden E is coming off a torn ACL too. You need healthy players in late January.

Saints must draft a young stud.

FWIW, Detroit released Devon Kennard to make room for Jamie Collins.

Kennard is 28 and a nice player.

What happens with Janoris Jenkins though?

I for one thought that both Kiko and PRob were gone pecans.

We need to make a play for Perriman later in FA. Ginn is toast.

Alec Ogletree is probably the best FA candidate out there @ the linebacker position.

The Saints need to replace AJ Klein ... either through Free Agency or the draft.

Tell um Rez I wanted to move on him last season . But it’s money we don’t have . We’re going with what we have or rookie in draft which is very unlikely I believe we’re going o-line and cb

Seems like it. We might as well just ride with Kiko at this point and spend the money elsewhere. Maybe try to pull off a trade.
