ESPN.com | Why the NFL combine built a myth around QB hand size, a measurement that doesn't mean anything

Favre had 166 fumbles in 298 starts (55.7%). Vick - 98/115 (85.2%).

Vick stats don't surprise me considering he held the ball more through plays (running, scrambling/passing) than most...

Johnson Bademosi has taken his talents to play for the New Orleans Gold Rugby Team. They are a highly competitive team and I'm good friends with the owner who I played rugby against for years.

I just heard on Moving the Chains that Malcolm Brown is on the trading block. They tend to think there won't be any takers and teams will just wait for him to be cut.

Why would anyone trade for a nose tackle?

He’s a good one. imho, he is the largest reason why the run defense was so stout. I don’t think he gets credit enough, and with that said, I also don’t think he will be heavily recruited. I hope he winds back up here.

Known quantity. Top 5 NT. Under Contract at a Cap Friendly Number. Checks Box for Run Defense.

Onyemata restructure, release of veteran TEs gains ~$7M cap space...

The only thing gained by the release of one of those TE's is the distance from fumbles, dropped passes, and mishandled catches that turn into interceptions.

release of one of those TE's? Why not just name the one?

I think Trautman will be a best and I do like the fact that he might be further up the TE depth chart come next season as that'll be good for his development.

In my mind, Trautman, by the end of his rookie season, was right there with Josh Hill at the top of the depth chart...

Jared Cook was just incapable of adapting and receiving criticism on how he needed to adjust in the Saints offense...

And then there was the inability to get open on his own, and a few costly turnovers...

Naming wasn't required. Only one of those two provided any cap relief (Josh Hill) and the other (Jared Cook) was obviously the one with the issues mentioned.

Personally, I expect Josh Hill to be re-signed at a more cap friendly rate later.

Josh Hill has been a soldier and frankly there's a double-standard on Payton's part in making sure guys that put it all out there for the team get commensurately compensated...

I get it's a business, but that's a convenient excuse for Payton et al, and yet we overspend on others who are useless or are a distraction in the clubhouse...

Still lots of talk about the Seahawks maybe letting Wilson go.
I think he stays another year before he goes unless they get a monster offer because of the 22ml dead money. For me if thats the case, you know Wilson agent will be letting teams know this. If its the case you just run with Taysum next year and save the money you would pay Winston and take a proper run at him next year

Adding it up from the tweets I've read, we're just under $45M under the cap...

Jeff Duncan tweeted there's zero chance Saints get Wilson. I figure that increased our chances 20%
