Damn. The NFL is a business though.

But hey, Eric has made well over 30M in his career. He'll be ok ;)

The Eagles just paid $34M to Wentz to play somewhere else. Makes no sense to me. None.

As I've learned the hard way in my business, going back to #Macondo, you have to factor #BlackSwanEvents into your business plan...

While lollipops and rainbows fans and mediaytes will cut the Saints slack with the no one saw a pandemic coming excuse, maximum leverage of the cap, kicking it forward every season is foolish...

And it finally is catching up to Payton and Loomis; but hey, Payton won a Superbowl, so he's got tenure and he made sure the right owner won the cat fight...

Ingram found work - surprised he was signed this early on, before actual Free Agency...

I swear it sounds personal. Your vitriol towards the Saints front office and ownership is glaring. How do you manage any enjoyment of the Saints with such bitterness, JP? :D

You take all posts critical of Saints management personal - you have the problem and you respond with personal attacks...

Just review your history - it's there, if you can stand to see it...

It's evident in your posts, in your passive/aggressive msgs to other users regarding users you disagree...

You make it personal, and that's where you cross the line, and you are then your own problem...

If you don't like draft talk and you think it's a waste, don't participate...

If you don't like criticisms of free agency talk, don't participate...

This means that full amount is now guaranteed and would hit the books if the player is cut or traded.

Sorry, Dude, Thomas isn't going anywhere.

Re: 2021 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints

They've got to be gearing up for something as you'd expected new deals for Williams, Lattimore and Ramczyk.

The only two cuts that will really hurt on paper are Jenkins and Brown. Brown was a major part in that run defense being one of the best in the league.

Alot of holes and depth to fill here now.

WR2
TE 1 or 2
DT x2
DE
CB2

And plenty of depth missing.
This won't hurt the starters badly but come mid season when the injuries hit it will.

Hopefully a couple of new deals opens up the space needed to get in a few FA. Because 4 picks in the first three rounds isn't going to rebuild the team unless they recreate one of the greatest drafts in league history

We will still have depth. This cuts are happening all across the league. All of these players are going to be re-signed somewhere at greatly reduced rates.

I think Big Fish can play Josh Hill’s role just fine, but a pass-catching TE is low-key a big need right now.

And he's not a fumbler. I've noticed after a catch, he immediately secures the ball with both hands. Trautman isn't the fastest TE but fundamentally he's nice.

Dayton's finest ;).

Funny thing is that this roster would have everyone bouncing around in BlackandGold like popping theatre popcorn...

The roster(s) of the last three years have spoiled us...

Perhaps less will be more?

If you're on twitter, and you're a fan, Bob Rose is putting some terrific organized, well-written Saints content out there right now - you should give a follow...

His season preview and roster outlook by position group is really good...

Things will start to "heat up" today ...

Free Agency starts on Wednesday, however a lot of teams already have their targeted guys/contracts in place.
