Re: 2016 NFL Draft Prospect Thread ...............
Fairley, now under contract (i.e. initially had Malik Jackson signing in mind), okay, let's go...
The flexibility of the signing makes the draft I had in mind still viable and at the end of the day, we roll with Coach Payton and offense... R1, S12 (Pick 12) WR Laquon Treadwell, Mississippi; Height: 6' 2"; Weight: 210 lbs.* Alternate Selection: DL Vernon Butler, LaTech; Height: 6' 4"; Weight: 323 lbs. R2, S16 (Pick 47) DB Xavien Howard, Baylor; Height: 6’ 0”; Weight: 200 lbs. Alternate Selection: DB Artie Burns, Miami; Height: 6' 0"; Weight: 195 lbs. R3, S15 (Pick 78) TE Tyler Higbee, Western Kentucky; Height: 6' 6"; Weight: 249 lbs. Alternate Selection: FS Darian Thompson, Boise State; Height: 6' 2"; Weight: 208 lbs. R4, S14 (Pick 112) DE Bronson Kaufusi, Brigham Young; Height: 6’ 6”; Weight: 285 lbs. Alternate Selection: NT D.J. Reader, Clemson; Height: 6' 3"; Weight: 327 lbs. R5, S13 (Pick 152) LB Nick Vigil, Utah State ; Height: 6’ 2”; Weight: 239 lbs. Alternate Selection: WR Devon Cajuste, Stanford; Height: 6' 4"; Weight: 234 lbs. R6, S12 (Pick 187*) TRADED this pick with 2015 Sixth Round Pick traded for DB Damian Swann (2015, R5, S31, Pick 167) R7, S16 (Pick 237) OG Jordan Rigsbee, California ; Height: 6’ 4”; Weight: 305 lbs. Alternate Selection: OG Ted Karras, Illinois; Height: 6' 4"; Weight: 308 lbs. Have details on my picks > 2016 NFL Mock Draft by Jeanpierre And it all continues to come together... :bng: |
Re: 2016 NFL Draft Prospect Thread ...............
Really starting to warm to DB Artie Burns, Miami; Height: 6' 0"; Weight: 195 lbs....
Prefer to add a more physical DB like Xavien Howard, but if Howard is gone, I'd definitely take Burns with the pick... Westbank will be 30 years old in training camp and he's been breaking down more and more since joining the black and gold... |
Re: 2016 NFL Draft Prospect Thread ...............
I still say we get Jarran or A'Shawn with #12 and trade back into the 1st round for one or the other. We could give our 2nd this year and first next year or a couple of more late rounders next year. Then in the 3rd and 4th we could take a CB or Safety. Then in the 2 late rounds we could draft LG and RG.

Spence reminds me of Gallette, say and do all the right things to make a team and then show your true colors. He came off "fake" on NFLN path to the draft show

At this point in the year, I'm just throwing random names (Spence is not on my wish list) out here for pre draft conversation but you never know ... Were any of us even talking about Peat or Kikaha at all before they were drafted? I know I wasn't. |

Re: 2016 NFL Draft Prospect Thread ...............
The New Orleans Saints, according to The Advocate, will be holding a workout for Boise State offensive lineman Rees Odhiambo, one of many incoming rookies to visit with the team prior to the NFL Draft.
With a guard arguably being the New Orleans Saints‘ biggest need after failing to address the position in free agency (still not over), Rees Odhiambo is set to work out with the team. Health is a major a concern, which is why the Kenyan-born Odhiambo will likely fall to the mid-late rounds. He broke his ankle in 2015, playing in only eight games, and he was never able to play a full season at Boise State. However, when able-bodied and fully functional, he possesses starter qualities, highlighted by great size (6-foot-4, 314 LBS), good play strength, excellent balance, and solid footwork. Having played tackle in college, Odhiambo will bring a two-position advantage to the NFL, very likely landing a guard job at the next level — he’s a little undersized for an NFL tackle. Re: 2016 NFL Draft Prospect Thread ...............
Tennessee's Pro Day
Stock up: • S Brian Randolph: Whoever thought Randolph wouldn’t test particularly well (confession: that’s me), was certainly wrong. The veteran safety who appeared in more game (53) than any other Vol in history, showed that he’s more than just a productive college player. He has some NFL-like athletic attributes. And that was most proven in the 40-yard dash, where he ran in the 4.4 range with one report putting him right at 4.40 flat. Those times are all considered unofficial, but regardless, he ran well. He also showed that he’s one of the stronger DB prospects in his class, benching an impressive 31 reps at 225 pounds – numbers normally reserved more for linemen. Wednesday didn’t suddenly transform him into an elite prospect, but scouts will at least want to take a longer look at him now. http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings...2016&genpos=SS • DT Owen Williams: Though he didn’t have a massively productive UT career, this is the area that Williams shines. And shine he did on Wednesday, posting a whopping 42 reps on the bench press – eight more than anybody at the NFL combine recorded last month, while running well too. He had several flashes of NFL-like upside during the 2016 season and he got much better from the time he arrived on campus in 2014 to the end of his senior season. He could be a sneaky late-round pick candidate that has a ton of upside. Owen Williams*|*Tennessee,*DT*:*2016 NFL Draft Scout Player Profile Holding steady: • OL Kyler Kerbyson: Versatility is the key for Kerbyson as he looks to at least get in an NFL camp and prove that he can bring value to a team because he truly could play all five spots on the offensive line. His numbers, including 32 reps on the bench press, were solid on Wednesday. He truly played out of position the past couple years at tackle, and better projects as an interior O-lineman. If somebody gives him a chance, he can be a guy you keep on the roster or practice squad because of that ability to move around and do different things. http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings...2016&genpos=OG • WR Marquez North: He was a standout at the combine last month, and he proved it was no fluke on Wednesday, again running in the 4.4 range (this time a bit faster at 4.42) at 6-foot-2, 223 pounds. It’s safe to say he’s proven himself as a physical freak. Then why didn’t he always play like it? That will continue to be the question on NFL teams’ minds, but the numbers he’s put up could very well be enough to make him a late-round pick. injury red flag http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings...2016&genpos=WR Stock Report: Tennessee's Pro Day | Rocky Top Insider |
