Can Bell play corner?

If he can't play corner then I'd pass on him.

This just makes too much sense. There’s huge admiration between Sean Payton and Richard Sherman. We need a guy to plug right in and not throw Adebo to the wolves.

I think most teams would pass on him if he did play corner.

The problem is that Sean doesn't run the defense. When he tries to mess with the defense it always goes wrong. Stick to the offensive side of the ball and let the coordinator and assistants make those decisions.

At this point, at WRz (i.e. Golden Tate) would have more of an impact on this team than an older CB2 who'll meltdown, blame others...

We only have more questions at Quarterback than we have after @CantGuardMike; throw Adebo in there and let him learn, play, get better...

If they don't succeed then he could lose confidence. I always worry about the rookies and their confidence. I broke horses before and this could be a very similar short process to breaking them down. I've never served but I believe that is thought process at boot camp as well.

Re: 2021 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints

We still don't have the outside speed/height combination we need at WRz; Harris is special, but also very short and there's liabilities at WRz that short...

If the new QB is gonna be successful, Saints have to get back to stretching the field; Drew couldn't get it to Emmanuel Sanders, but don't abandon the plan...

It did seem to work for Minnesota and Tampa Bay - sure there'll be mistakes, but that's part of growing up and getting better.

On the bright side we didn't sign him to one of our FA contracts which go wrong for us more often than not. We need a good LB'er rather than push these young bucks.

Especially considering they have had inconsistent QB play the last 3 or 4 years and counting yet Allen is still putting up big numbers.

Don't know how we afford two WRx...

But I don't see a WRz on the roster unless the rookie shows out at camp...

This was an interesting take from that article :

"And that’s the ideal situation for New Orleans. If they could bring Howard in for 2021 and tweak his contract to his liking, they would have the consistent No. 1 cornerback they need for the future with Adebo as a backup plan to replace Lattimore in 2022, should he continue to run hot-and-cold in a contract year."

^^ Sorry but I'm not ready for Lattimore to leave. When you find above avg corners, you pay them because they aren't easy to find.

As a SmashMouth kinda-guy, it took me a few seasons to accept the real premium on defense is on island-cover-corners...

Totally agree, if you get those that can cover, disrupt, you pay them...

Wondering how Sean feels about him now? Anyone else in the Saints FO who was advocating his signing has to be questioning themselves, credibility...

And of course, you have such an in to the front office that you know everyone there that was was advocating his signing. Come on, JP. The only ones I heard wanting him as a Saint were stupid bloggers. Check your sources.

But, I know how much you hate the front office. Blame game.

Blame? Just questioned how the Saints FO felt about Sherman now; now are you reading tea leaves or other leaves?

And how exactly are you able to know I hate the front office? Why does criticism directly translate to hate? Is your fandom world that fragile?

By the way, most compensated, press-credentialed Saints reporters are bloggers as well; so calling someone a blogger just demonstrates your myopia...

Just stating what I see. You attack the front office on a regular basis. More so than any other person I have encountered as a Saints fan on this site. Far and away.

And I know the difference between credentialed press and independent bloggers. I am far from myopic as you throw yet another disparaging name in my direction.

What is with the vitriol?

And I am far from fragile. I poked the dragon and you went off. Introspect, my friend.

Chill.

Name calling again. So I am fragile. Is that so? The fact that I dispute some things that you or others declare as your opinions (or you as fact) is not being sensitive. It is being objective enough to not believe everything you and others spout as the truth. How is that not healthy?

Can you offer any criticism of Sean Payton? game management? draft move? or free agent signing?

Nope. Why should I? He has brought us the most successful era in Saints football history. I'll leave it to you to knit pick and ***** and moan about things like that. You seem to relish in that. That's your realm.

So he's infallible because he won a Superbowl? You can't name just one criticism of him from a game, the draft, or in free agency?

I repeat ...

Why should I? If he has I have moved well past it and don't dwell on it. You ought to try it. You are far too obsessed with your earlier disillusionments.

Has anyone ever told you to let it be and move on? Oh, wait!

That would be far too rational.

Because I can't remember one. I don't hold onto things like you I suppose. I don't let things like two firsts and a fifth define my being.
