Totally agree, if you get those that can cover, disrupt, you pay them...

Indeed

So why didn’t they keep Janoris Jenkins and let Marcus Williams go?

Won't ever happen. Then he can't claim how "right" he is when Payton makes a good decision by saying that he never has had doubt about him. Then scold the rest of us for questioning him on decision making.

Well Marcus has an elite grade in coverage as a Safety and he's younger, so that's why I'd kept him over Jackrabbit, as much as I liked that Jenkins...

Geno Atkins, come play for your daddy’s team.

Might be what the doctor ordered. He's lost a little bit but it would be hard to run up the middle. Sacks? Pressure could be good enough to let the DE"s do their job. Turners a big question mark on that line.

Onyemata better play his ass off when he comes back. I wouldn't be against not paying a player while he's suspended to help offset the cost of his replacement needed while he's gone.

Suspensions are always without pay. Sucks for him.

Sucks that Sheldon Richardson signed a week before Onyemata disclosed his tough news...

We may likely end up rolling with the soldiers we already have under contract and waiting out the suspension...

One good thing in this is that Onyemata will be fresher if we make it to the playoffs...

I'm a big fan of Richardson. Mean and nasty, just the way I like them up front.

Man we just spent a 2nd and 3rd round pick on LB’s these past two years. What is the vision??

Depth, for sure. Kirwan and Miller have spent the last few days on Moving The Chains delving into the interior LB corps of all the teams in the league. In their grading, quality experience throughout the LB corps is vital. You can't have too many good players especially when they are already familiar with your scheme. As you know, LB's are also a very important part of the special teams play.

Alexander isn't particularly the finest technician in his play, but he is a non-stop motor.

First off, glad Kwon’s rehab went well.

In the handful of games last season, there was a noticeable difference with Alexander playing alongside Demario.

Offer a contract full of bonuses. Another proven vet with playmaking ability and familiarity in the system. No idea what they plan on doing with Baun.

I hope he re signs with us.

Well, you usually dress seven LB's on the roster. I'm sure Baun will have his place. Ourlads has him slotted at Sam, with Demario at Mike and Werner at Will. Coming off an injury Alexander may just be depth. God forbid anything happen to Davis, but Baun can move inside wouldn't you think?

Um, I'm sure I'm not the only one, but what is your message based upon some random gif? It looks like the dude is relieved. I agree. Nice add for depth.

Because like others here I recall how well the linebacker play was with Kwon Alexander paired with Demario Davis?

And you are the only one...

No. I meant what does the gif mean? I don't get what the guy is doing. It could be that what he saw on his laptop is ridiculous or something. I took it as relief. I was wondering if you thought the same.

Pay the man! We need him. When he played next to DD our defense took three steps forward. Once again, I think we need him even as a depth player who is likely to end up on IR.

Here is a short list of available FA WR’s …

G Tate
Dez Bryant
D Westbrook
Alshon Jeffery (he’s probably injured as we speak)
Andre Patton
Marqise Lee

Tate would add some zip back into this offense...

Unless we bring in/trade for a legit #1WR, our QB under center will suffer.

Emmanuel Sanders is a TRUE 2 & Cook caught a fair share of those passes as well. Last season the rest combined to catch 5 catches a game. A continuing theme late into the season and post season last year was that with Thomas hobbled/injured, no one was getting open consistently.

A good deal of that was the inability of Brees to make the full compliment of throws. Calloway also spent time on the IR late in the season.

WR Dede Westbrook has signed with the Vikings.

Bears WR Anthony Miller traded to Texans.

We gonna do something?

His asking price could be a deal breaker for New Orleans.

Kenny Stills is still out there …

Why would they sign Stills if they traded him away?

There's something Sean just doesn't want with him...

IDK JP but Stills is a speed guy that we are lacking right now & could operate well with either JW or Taysom but KS is just a name I put out there who is currently available.

Saints have a number of options ... guys will become available throughout the pre season (cuts will happen between games) training camp, re align roster within the system including Ty Montgomery or propose a trade. WR is a weak spot with MT out. I just don't feel confident in 3quan taking his game up a notch on a consistent basis.

Oh well, training camp is finally here though.

ICE UP Mike !
